Far from it Paul, my wife is all for me getting another bike, and a life insurance policy funnily enough!
I took this bad boy out earlier this year and was blown away, literally Hanging on for dear life at speed reminded me of my S4rs monster.
Mainly been recovering after racing in the Bike Shed Festival, was beaten by Paul Young (not the hat/home guy), the development rider for Royal Enfield, who competed in the 500s in 96, along with a Mr Doohan. Given I'd never raced before and only done 2 proper trackdays, I accidentally qualified for Rapid class and wasn't last, I'm quite pleased with that. My little Monster held up well.
@West Cork Paul They say time haeals all wounds, we shall see but for now I will leave things be. Even our 8 yr old son who loved the Hyper reckons he prefers having his dad in one piece. Hard to argue with that...
I’m sure you do have the skill Chiz. With just a little practice it all comes back. It’s like riding a bike, you never forget. Nice work.
I think the Xdiavel is an acquired taste. Great bike but still an acquired taste. The Diavel, however, is more like a “mega Monster”.
I think if I can match the confidence inspiring ride the multi offered I could cut back on the HP. The turn of speed that bike had was amazing but you could only really use its full potential when entering hyperspace! A test ride of the 900ss s will answer all my questions. Just need time, money and dry weather!
The new SS was a big disappointment for me, the only Ducati i’ve ever ridden that i didnt like at all ! It seemed to be too dull to be sporty and too cramped to be comfortable The old ss/sl is way better imho Steve
Whilst other people’s experiences and thoughts are interesting it’s really down to you to make your own decisions. Get some test rides in. It’s the only way
Very true, but pre warned is pre armed as they say. Thats the first criticism regarding both performance and comfort I’ve come across, so far.
It’s the first I have too but we are all shapes and sizes, so what may suit one person ergonomically may not suit another. And one person may think they ride like Marc Marquez and thinks they NEED more power when in reality they don’t, and they don’t. #justsaying
Full knee replacement at Cheltenham General. Thank god for blackcurrant flavoured morphine. If you’re about to get this done, it hurts like fuck! Great staff though.
I currently have a 959( with the full Akra system) and a 900 Superlight ( with 944 kit) Previous ducatis 999s, Monster 696, Hyper 1100, 1098 Tricolore, Multi 1200 dvt Try the new SS, you might love it but i was so disappointed when i had a test ride Let us know what you think.
Well you've a long six months to choose your next own adventure for the 2020 season, but in reality summertime is only round the corner in my book as we get older in life.GL
