Fitted a new LED light in the shed, 22w replacing the 100w bulb but WOW 5500 lumens v 1600. I’m now going to replace the other 2 bulbs with the same.

 

LED'd my garage earlier this year...for a garage environment you cant beat white led light...

Sorting Insurance for my daughter who passed her driving test (first time too) on Friday.

Anyone in the same boat, Marmalade pretty good. Has her own insurance for my wife’s car - black box when she is driving only down side. She does earn her own NCD (hopefully) though.

 

How does that work? Who pays on a claim? I thought you could only insure a vehicle once.

 

I thought that too.
She has to activate the black box whenever she is driving, perhaps that is how they know who was driving.

 

I always thought the black box was related to the car and not the driver so it will record all information no matter who the driver is?

 

She has to activate it via an app every time she drives.

 

Can you have more than one insurance policy on the same car ?

They will capture all the data, just so you know. Unless she has a 12v plug in and take out. If it’s wired, your wife is tracked.

Basic idea is the car has to be insured and owned by a parent, so the insurance only covers her to drive it etc. If it’s stolen from a car park or hit in a car park while she’s out it’s covered by them, if while at home or my wife is out covered by wife’s insurance.
( you’re not being an arse - or if you are I was too when looking at it)

Haven’t got the box yet so don’t know if it’s plug in or permanently connected. if permanent I’m sure it will collect wife’s data too, not sure what they’ll do with the info.

Just been out for a drive with my lad. He’s been learning since January, 1 lesson a week, and doesn’t like or want to drive. Even though he’s had a car since about May, we’ve only been out a handful of times.
