Woke up at 6:30 and got out on the bike for a couple of hours before my presence was required in the house. Bit chilly but a gorgeous morning. Saw a few Ducatis out including a multi with what looked like carbon bst wheels at loomies, a 1098 and a demo on the A272 and A31 respectively. Now contemplating getting pictures back on the walls after the big decorate.... Do you think she'd notice if one of the family was replaced by one of an 848?
11 mile walk this morning. A couple of hours on the Diavel this afternoon, followed by an hour cleaning her in the evening sunshine. I am now going to open a bottle of red for the perfect end to a perfect day.
Went for a ride this afternoon stopped off in Matlock saw a nice 749r,1199 tric, 10 or 1198 in buildbase colours, and now just put the BBQ away, its been a good day..
Fitted new rubber this morning, then took them out for a scrub. Bike stripped of mirrors and indicators etc ready for the synchronised swimming at Donny on Tuesday.
replaced wood and repainted garden furniture and cleaned hall and living room carpets ......................ahh bank holiday weekends lol
went for a trolly round Bridgenorth Craven Arms, towards Newtown on the Mutley. Unfortunately stumbled across a bike accident just outside Sarn. Bloke on a streetfighter GSXr 750 gave it a little too much over the curved brow, hit the verge and ended up with a written off bike supect bosted pelvis and a helicopter flight to Stoke. His oppo followed him and ended up with a suspect fractured collar bone. In general, both consious and both ok although both bikes and kit were totalled. First aid at the scene and fuel flowing down the road .... not good and certainly what you expect when you set out on a ride, Sobering. Anyhow finished a superb ride to Newtown, Crossgates, Ludlow and home. lovely weather, the Mutley most definitely needs a wash its minging. Here but for the grace of god. Shout out to the guy on the Hypermotard on the Craven Arms to Morville Road. Great riding.!
Today I have mostly been relaxing and catching up on TV I've missed since Friday. Tonight we are babysitting the grandson.
Got cut up (some **** slotted in right in front of me in a gap that wasn't there - turned out to be a girl sadly) Got entertained (met many bike owners at Box/Newlands - Stuart and Phil plus Mark and Dave off to TT on Tuesday) Got sunburnt (incredible stretch of bright sunlight right on into the evening) Got very tired (fell asleep watching Horror on Ch 5) Got Insomnia (business as usual)
Cat got me up at 6 this morning, so after a cupa i mowed the lawn, ( wake up you lazy neighbors the bikes out next ) now having a bit of web surfing. Steve
Just playing with my grandson. Then hope to go out on the bike. The local news have just said that plod will have their three mobile speed camera vans out on the county's roads so please be careful out there.
I'm sat here trying to force myself to clean the shed out, but the sun's out and, well, I just can't be arsed. Might take the Guzzi for a thrash instead.
No you're not, I managed to stay in bed till 6.45, but been pottering about at home, put a load through the dishwasher, taken the dogs out for their morning constitutional ( trip round the back garden) and flicking between here and arsebook. Thinking about getting the case ready for our trip to Portugal this weekend (mates wedding in Lisbon) but as queasyjet only allow us 1 case of 20kg I don't think I'll be taking too much with me!
Hmmmm. Thats cutting it a bit fine I suspect. We are leaving at about 11 I think. I'm not organising this so really have no idea what happens beyond eating F & C in Brighton!! Be nice to meet you all the same.
Why not... I'm going to set my gamma nail on a plinth when it's taken our.. Gross body part jewellery - it's the way forward
