The wife asked me this morning“ if you had a choice on how you died, what would it be” I said “ during sex” She said “ oh well, at least it would be quick “
Watched the Italian version of the Disneynature "Bears" film on the TV in the hotel, wandered down to the coast in my summer jacket, now enjoying a vinho and light nibbles
No booze, no Christmas lunch. Sat watching fuel being loaded onto a ship in Santos. Nice weather though.
Had a great lunch prepared buy SWMBO. Chestnut soup, salmon salad, freshly baked baguette, coq au vin, braised Brussel's sprouts and mash. And one of my favourite SA reds. Restarted an old hobby. Tinkering and coding. Being able to get hold of a Raspberry Pi and assorted sensors means that this is now an affordable pastime First project is to build an outdoor air quality monitor. Now what I need is some spare time
We're in Gran Canaria for Xmas, so this morning, my wife got her grandaughter in Huyton to Facebook video the wife's 94 year old Mother (Mary -currently in a Huyton Care Home). I put myself into the camera shot and wished Mary a Happy Xmas - I've known her for over 24 years. Without flinching, she turned to the grandaughter and said "Who's that? It looks like my Grandad"
I have spent the day in the company of the woman who makes my life worth living. I have dined like a king on cold roast rib of beef, unsmoked gammon, smoked salmon and mashed potato and I have imbibed some of my favourite tipple. I go to bed a happy (if slightly tipsy) man, looking forward to tomorrow when I’m going to do it all over again I hope you have been as fortunate as me and wish you good night. Andy
