  1. Many Aussie houses are built with Steel frames, as otherwise they would be eaten by Termites.

  2. Due to the idiosyncrasies of how this site works... I thought this comment was in response to my post "We are planning a repeat NZ trip.... enjoy."
I thought what does Dave think of me.... compulsive eater?

  3. I was just walking around the centre of London doing a bit of sightseeing when I went past the Egyptian Embassy.

I noticed that the front door didn't have a doorbell. Instead they had a horn by the side of the door with a sign saying "Toot and come in"

  4. Organised the L.R's rear brake discs/pads/calipers/2 x tyres/MOT for next week as it runs out this wednesday.

  5. had 3 estate agents round to value property today, purposely i timed all their appointments to overlap so that they felt uncomfortable with each other and am still rolling round the floor laughing from the massive differences in valuations.

  7. Booked some accommodation for a Nurburgring trip at the end of May, muchos excitement.

  8. We’ve booked a holiday to Sardinia. Don’t think I’ll be doing Mugello this year as it’s literally the week before.

  9. Seen how much doctors and consultants are paid?

  10. Exchanged contracts on one house, completion tomorrow. Buyer seems back on track on my other house.

  11. Quite a few of the nhs hospital doctors work a few days nhs and then a few days private, My last two operations were nhs surgeons subbing out doing nhs ops through a private medical outreach company. I wonder if there was a push to have nhs staff to work for the nhs only, if that would give us a sudden boost in nhs doctors/surgeons appointments and resolutions?

  12. Mine is both. He’s seen me as nhs so far, but I can’t be waiting 7 months to find out what next. No wonder people go on long term sick.

no idea what the answer is: but there needs to be one

  14. Well whilst SWMBO is out having her hair and nails done I've been extremely busy earning brownie points by cleaning the house (well upstairs anyway.......I'll do downstairs tomorrow ;) )

After cleaning and vacuuming I made some lunch and I've just learnt the chords for Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi.........just need to keep practicing.

And later this afternoon I have my first session after the holidays with my PT...........I think it's gonna hurt :(

  15. A nice morning in the garage. Oil and filter changes for the Street Triple & Chitroen C1.

Also received and fitted a couple of engine protectors for the Striple. I intend to use and abuse it on track days this year ( @West Cork Paul & @Chris note tough clutch cover ;) ) so felt it worthwhile to shell out - just in case o_O. Got a couple more bits of protection to come. Think these covers look OK and actually kinda match the moody matte black paint.

  18. When they're valuing a unique property, they're just pulling figures out their arse. Not the same as a house on a street or a housing estate where they can look at recent sales prices.
