  1. We are off to see Jeff Wayne’s, World of the Worlds, Immersive Experience in London in about an hour. I also suspect we just might be visiting a hostelry for refreshments as well  Andy

  2. Woke up this morning with Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Basically it's dizziness - ok when my head is still, but dizzy as hell when I move it.

Caused by something blocked in the inner ear - I had it a couple of years ago and it lasted about three months. Couldn't drive or anything. It's a bastard. I've had it a couple of times since but wasn't severe and it went within a day, so I'm hoping it goes quickly this time. At least it's winter and not prime riding time.

  3. Had the same thing twice, last time was the worst a couple of years ago and as you say lasted about three months, it was quite scary working up ladders and on roofs.

  7. Jeez I couldn't handle it going up ladders - luckily I've got a flat in the same building as I work.

  10. Finally got the dartford tunnel fine letters for paying 10 hours late, this afternoon.

At the bottom of the letter it says
If this is the first penalty issued for this vehicle using the crossing and you contact us within 14 days of the date of service of this notice, you may be able to pay the crossing charge only

Phoned them up and sure enough they have asked just for the £5 total for the two crossings. As for the £5 paid on Boxing day (10 hours late), they say that is now credit for the car should I use the tunnel/bridge again and for upto 12 months.

far better than the fine of £70 for the two trips if I pay within 14 days or £140 if after the 14 days

  18. I’ve just found out that the guy who placed a deposit on my Diavel before Xmas and was going to do the deal/collect the bike today seems to have gone to ground and isn’t contactable and answering his phone either.

Looks like it’s back up for sale and the V2 will have to wait :(

  19. Is the PX too bad to swallow? Keeping his deposit I assume if it’s a non refundable one? Shit poor really.
