Took a poodle around my old cycling roots to run in my KTM dropped off a headlight surround. Cleaned said KTM found rust on it disappointing to say the least. Hung replacement gate as the first gate succumbed to these strong winds we’re getting due to ‘climate change’.
Had a banging day at Cadwell today, a bit nippy and a fair breeze but dry and sunny all day. Got 7 good sessions in, no dramas and a decent time not far off my PB. Very happy considering I left the Supercorsas on, cold track and first trackday in 5 months. Roll on Almeria in 5 weeks.
Went for a drive around the Ring of Kerry today, scouting out further ‘off the beaten track’ routes for www.swi500.ie ; after yesterday’s storm today was just stunning
This Chemo’s producing some weird side effects! I cooked a Risotto for the first time ever. Did a flower arrangement, first time ever. Cut the wife’s hair, first time ever. I need to man up. Taxed the Multistrada...I clearly need a ride
I was in the chemists and I said to the assistant “What gets rid of coronavirus?” She said "Ammonia cleaner." I said "Oh sorry, I thought you worked here...”
Cleaned and serviced my xr250 and it is now ready to go. I`m not looking forwards to selling it really, it`s not a bad old bike, just time for a change. I now have the fun task of dealing with all the ebay heroes who can`t read an advert, the one`s who want to do me a favour and give me 200 quid for it, or the ones who see it`s a 21 year old off road bike with it`s fair share of battle scars, and still complain it`s not concourse, even though I`ve described it honestly......IN BIG FECKING LETTERS!!!! Oh, and my favourite, good old Vladimir in Outer Mongolia, who wants it to herd his sheep, he`ll wire me the money and I will then ship it sight unseen. AAARGH!!!! That`s it, I don`t think I`m gonna sell it after all. I`m so mad now, I`m off out to find a little guy to pick a fight with
Fitted a set of exactstart cables to my project bike this morning. The bike was serviced last week but a poor starting problem persisted. The cables to solenoid and starter were fairly new. I fitted a set to my 748 last year as a precaution against future issues. That fitting did not make a load of difference but gave peace of mind. So, I was not overly hopeful. Well, I can report that it now spins up like a good un. Christ what an amazing improvement, I honestly can’t quite believe it. Thanks Stu @Exige very, very happy boy.
good stuff! i have em fitted to all my bikes bar scrambles... scrambles starts like a jap bike, poke the button and its ticking over nicely.... the biggest difference/thing i noticed was when i fitted em to the 748... idles better and runs smoother in general.... not sure how this works but it does.. maybe it just made him happy....
