Not far off - i dont get invited to meetings anymore as im not a grown up! Its gonna be a manic few months....last few days ive tried to give myself a fighting chance of staying on top of work through the day by getting in at 6am...
Just walked the boy to school for what might be his last day before going to his new school in September
My godson Jack is in the same boat.........to be honest I don’t think it’ll bother him as much as his parents.
Similar story here. We returned from our holiday in NZ in time for the schools reopening after the Lunar New Year, but 6 weeks later our lad is still at home busy with 'remote learning'. It is not at all clear whether he will go back to school this year. He may well be at home into the new school year in August/September. Crazy times...
And, back in the room. Finished off the carbon fibre tank pad, heat shield and clutch cover. Wet and dry, cutting compound, polish and wax. Result is acceptable, the lacquer is not as good as the last lot I used on the 748. But, thus bike is not meant to be immaculate and it’s a heap better than it was. Once the bike is done I will post a short thread on the purchase, history and refurb. Anyhoo, here’s a pic.
Spent 30 minutes on the phone trying to get through to sainsburys. Yesterday they trialed the first hour of store opening for the over 70's only. There wasn't any i.d./dob checks but it was obvious for most. They did allow a relative/friend to help the most obvious with movement issues but in general it was the oap on their own My dad wasn't aware of it but the ladies in the complex were. Sainsburies have said it was a trial but they were looking to see if it was viable to do until further notice but will announce if they are on their website. If your oldie fits within that at risk group, pop into your local store and ask if they are still doing it and check the sainsburys website.
You will enjoy the story when I spill the beans Harry. Just got the hugger to do and the CF is done. It’s actually an MS Production genuine article but the quality is poor compared to the other bits. It’s going to either take a fair bit more time or I may just slap it on and live with it.
Been to the recycling centre in Tadcaster for a mates dad with a van full of garden rubbish, then to another shop for more bacterial wipes to send to the Czech Republic. Called in at Optimum Bikes to look at a Bike for a mate. They reported on a set of cables I had made for them for a year old Super Sport with starting difficulties, the owner is over to moon with them Now home relaxing
I'm just going out shopping for the old couple next door. They've asked me to get 4 tins of baked beans amongst other things, wish me luck I could be gone a while.
Took the Dorsoduro out for its first spin today, only to work and back just to see what it was like....ooooh it’s gonna be fun !!!
Collected my V4 having had the rear ride height increased by 5mm and had fitted the track petrol tank and (plastic) wings. Also gave me the opportunity to replace the Ducati by Rizoma fuel cap with a far more functional Spider cap, fitted Spider captive wheel spacers and Spider fork sliders. Now need to just bide my time and wait to be allowed back into Spain and Almeria. Andy
Today I will mainly be going down the pub to have a last pint for a while before they all shut up shop.
