I asked Joanne, the Receptionist at work, if I could touch her hair today. She said "Ok then", so I ran my finger across her top lip, and that's how I found myself unemployed.
Gotta take the Mrs to hospital in the morning. Can’t believe the oncologist couldn’t do it via a WhatsApp video link. Just scares the shit out of me taking her anywhere near the place. You’d think we’d enjoy a trip out, can’t even go to the shop ourselves. Good neighbours, Hello Fresh and Toolstation deliver so we’re fine on that front, although the Toolstation stuff is a bit chewy. She’s taken everything amazingly well, unbelievably, physically and mentally. Just got to stay clear of this virus and a hospital visit is plague central. I’m going to put my foot down and see if we can avoid further visits until the all clear is sounded.
Night before last my 18 year old daughter told my ex that she was staying at mine but went to her friend's instead. Ex didn't think to verify with me. We're both livid with her, me especially as a friend and neighbour who was on a ventilator died the very same night. He was early/mid 60s, fit as a fiddle and a really nice guy, husband to his poor wife and community spirited person. Might seem contradictory that my daughters are shuttling between myself and the ex but a/ that's permitted, and b/ we agreed it was fine so long as both households were being careful and following guidelines. Guess I now wont be seeing either daughter for 14 days due to her behaviour
Good luck Sam. Empathy with you. My 85 year old dad has to go in this morning too. Eye trouble. I am very concerned.
Just put the bins out. My dad used to leave a carton of Capstan Full Strength on top at Christmas, doubt that would be appreciated in this day and age... However, I thought I'd show my appreciation so left a packet of Jaffa Cakes along with a thank you note stating that note and biscuits had only been handled whilst wearing surgical gloves.
Just had a call, don’t have to go as they haven’t got her results in yet. That’s a result in itself anyway.
I've just cleaned and ACF50'd the V2 and the Scrambler They both look very clean and shiny now (all dressed up with nowhere to go )
Started painting the conservatory using the wife’s toothbrush should be finished by the end of May, result. Will have to wash the brush thoroughly each night before she does her teeth though.
Finally got rear wheel nut off, sat there for over a minute with nut gun hammering away before it slowly started to move, didn't fully loosen until it had turned nearly 45deg then just span off as you would be expecting it to. I thought there was going to be corrosion on the threads and mating surfaces but everything has a coating of grease on it and is exactly as it should be. It was just stupidly tight.
Busy (for these times) day. Took dog #1 to vets as he is not quite the ticket. Delivered food parcel to MiL, she’s on 12 week lockdown and alone. I had a chat from bottom of the drive. Got some eggs Spoke to Dad who is now home from hospital. Insisted he wore gloves and a mask. Put clothes into wash and him into shower immediately he got home. He has to go back Tuesday then every 2 weeks. Which is a worry.
No, all good to go back on once I've had a clean up round the caliper and sw arm and fitted exhaust. No hurry though as it can't go out for the forseeable.
