Had a very busy day at work today but knocked off early to go to Meldreth bike show. Lots to see old and new and quite a few Ducatis of all sorts  including another Pikes Peak. Got chatting to a nice guy Andy who was admiring my bike only to find out he's got a PP on order Is this bike getting common ?
If you ever get the chance...or the inclination for a Speed Triple go for it! The 2005/6 1050 is a brilliant bike. Miles more character (IMHO) than the new one which feels a bit sterile in comparison.....and thats character in a good way. Sort the bouncy bits out and its superb
Actually to avoid confusion maybe they should have different names......maybe Trinny and Susanna....or Little and Large. All suggestions welcome
luckily the top half of the plug came out in one piece with the inner electrode intact. so nothing in the cylinder. the threaded part of the plug in the head was not under tension so I managed to knock up a stud removal tool with my flexi drive and some gaffer tape to hold it all together. luckily the stud removal bit was 1/4 drive so it fitted the flexi well. lucky or what hey lol
Well, I returned home today after visiting my mum, my sister and my uncle, all of whom have been emergency admissions to hospital over the course of this week. Once home, I observed that my local council recycling bin has been removed from the front of my property during my absence. How thoughtful. Don't expect any bike photos from me until I have resolved this. Oh and ... fuck off, life. Fuck. Right. Off.
Travelled back from Anglesey via the scenic A5 rather than Mway boredom...absolutely cream crackered now! Van will be unloaded tomorrow..
I've sanded a plastered wall, painted it, done some ironing, begun reading Bike magazine, watched the rugby, watched Friends, made myself some lunch and slept on the sofa. All this whilst my SWMBO has been out with the girl next door getting drunk. I'm now having to listen to her and next door talking broken biscuits whilst I'm trying to watch TV.
I spent all day cutting the grass in all the awkward places the ride-on can't get to: under shrubs, around trees, next to fences etc etc. It's taken years and I'm now pooped. Most of it has to be done with a hook - and still keep my fingers on my fretting hand. On the plus side, the grounds at Glidd Towers are now looking quite tasty.
