Sorry to hear Anthony, in a way it was nice that you found him and not a stranger. I had the same with a neighbour I had known since my teens, we just sat there a while, even if you half-guessed, it's still a shock.

Out on the Multistrada again today, lots of single bikes on the road, more than yesterday. Speed monitoring on the Andover Road coming out of Ludgershall and I suspect vehicle inspections too given the number of police officers and vehicles in the lay-by where the speed limit changes from 30 to 50. Several vehicles coming the other way, flashed their headlights to warn traffic, shame given how straight that piece of road is, you’d have been caught long before you realised why people were flashing. Have to say, apart from a few police vans and the odd patrol car, that is the first obvious police presence I’ve noticed in the West Berks/North Hants/Wiltshire area. Andy
