  3. I watched 4 guys go up there today, and it was bloody hot. My friend keeps trying to persuade me to have a go, but I can honestly say it will never happen. Once had to put my isuzu into awd to get up that steep right hander!!!

  4. I've cleaned it a few times but it is 1 of the hardest climbs I've done, usually after already riding 95 miles or so. It's a real brute of a climb it shallows out a little at about half way.

Yes I drove my 4wd Nissan up it but from wryness side in 2 wheel drive and the back end was jumping lol.

  5. Had a go at spraying a seat cowl for my old SS . Wasn't that fussed how it was going to come out as the bike is nearly 30 years old . All the rubbing down and primer looked and felt spot on . Sprayed the red on today and the finish is a bit shit, paint seems like it's got miniscule grit in it? Bit pissed off now as it was going so well . Sprayed some on a piece of card and it was the same? Might try a light rub down tomorrow and try another couple of coats of red and then just leave it if it's OK or not .

  6. Bit of delivering, took a deposit on the van then tonight went for my first ride at night for probably a bit over 4 years just before my brain bleed so I have to say I’m pleased about that it’s another step in right direction

A bit of positivity in this horrible time we are all in. Guinness in the garden now.

  8. Great location..... have you got your camera set to "1970's back garden - 110 Film mode"?
Not quite blurred enough for Old British porn mode (Vaseline on lens).

  9. Just hanging around, outside, socially distancing, waiting for them to fit a new rear tyre to the Monster.

Ps. I’ve been here over an hour, I suspect they might be having the same problem I had in attempting to undo the rear wheel:confused: but hey they did it up when they fitted the new tyres when I bought the bike last year.

  13. Been playing with suspension on the 996 today. Really cheesed my daughter off as she is trying to work and I keep getting her to measure rider sag measurements o_O

Anyhoos, getting there now. Starting point was front rider sag 27 and rear 48.
Currently at front 33 and rear 32.
Next thing to play with the twiddly bits. Then test ride.

Then tell daughter another 3 bikes to do!
