That's the way to do it,we used to pinch diesel years ago for our mad european trips.our friend had a company fuel card & he would store a couple of jerry cans up for the said trip.have a safe trip.
Went for a ride on the Mouldystrudel with mates today to Old Parakao Store for lunch. They have been building this business up and they are hoping by the end of next year to have about a dozen or so housetrucks scattered about the property as overnight cabins. They are constantly being given old wrecks, including some old housetrucks, which add to the ambience. If that is your thing. They have open mic night last sun of every month and have had some celebrity guests drop by from time to time. Very laid back place...and quiet now because of our lockdown regime...
Fucking vastly overpriced fork seal kit turned up....bought for 35 quid...normally sixty fucking seven quid....even 35 is extortionate...
Never had good luck with aftermarket seals....cant say anything more than that....although, based on those prices i might be forced to switch...when it comes to seals, engine spares etc etc i try to stay as oem as possible....
Not today but while refitting the fuel tank on my Karmann Ghia, I could still smell petrol after I connected all the fittings etc. So popped my head under the car, lo and behold it was like a friggin waterfall. On inspection each of the red circles is a pin hole, looks like the previous owner filled the tank with gel blocker and with me removing the tank has disturbed it all, anyhow new tank en-route.
It'd be interesting to know who actually makes these seals, and others. Your packaging says 'Made by Marzocchi' but I wonder why they would bother... I used to design machinery that needed seals, bearings, etc and I'd just go to someone like SKF to get everything. Can you let me know all the codes on those deals and I'll do a search.... Similar topic - most bearings and seals are not 'special', as that would push the cost up massively. Most designers/engineers would go to a seal/bearing manufacturer and select a component that they'd know is proven. Next time anyone is thinking of replacing a bearing, look at the code etched on it and do a search...... Apologies for the hijack
