Nice walk with the Mrs and dog this morning. Rubbed down my seat cowl again and lacquered it. That's as good as it gets and good enough for an old bike.
I feel your pain I’m slowly recovering from an excessive hedge cutting back related issue. Now it’s only painful in the morning and again in the evening.
I did have a quick ride on it, it’s very solid, but just feels a bit agricultural to me, sort of biking equivalent of a tractor I suppose and similar speed.
Fuck all today...sat out and took in the scenery while hopping between the balcony and the kitchen watching random films/youtube/web browsing.... 6th sense has told me (and from previous experience) that sometimes if a day is too perfect then its too good to be true...previous days like this have ended (for me) in points, crashes and slides and hitting other vehicles....and at the moment with the lack of traffic like bee's to honey - the filth are out to make an example of anyone "having a bit of fun..." While im not on facebook a mate who is on there has said while the lockdown is in force hes noticed alot more posts for bikes getting knicked....perhaps John.Q.Law should concentrate there a bit more...while theres more resources...
Sold pool table, sat in the garden...plasterers visited for a reccy...went to Leeds services sat in back of van with a pot of tea at the petrol station as services are not operational yet just bathrooms open, tea only £1.30 at petrol station it’s a good stop off if you are heading up or down m1 at Leeds
Daughters 19th Birthday today...took the day off (management have asked us to try to take holiday - not furloughed) so chilling out although done my exercise (been doing t25 recently..usualy do weights) lost just over a stone while working from home...although today there are 2 boxes of krispy kremes here and pizza tonight....going off the grid (from a dietary point of view) for the first time in 6 weeks or so...
Cheers....if anything its been quite easy...easier than being at work....while weve been at home a local fruit and veg store has been delivering boxes of random fruit and veg (to most of the road) so if im hungry grab a fresh apple, pear, orange, satsuma, carrot, melon, strawberrys...whatever....id say thats been the main driver...and cheap...13 quid for literally a fresh pile of fruit and veg...
Delicious gentle ride out through the wonderful Chiltern Hills up to Tring via Ashridge. Then, a far less gentle blast back. Splendid.
