There are no Snakes on the island of Ireland having been banished by St Patrick or never having established themselves there due to the climate. So WCP will not be having any nonsense from Snakes.
Are they supposed to be American biscuits? They look like scones to me, albeit on the small side. I had biscuits and gravy once - fooking disgusting . Eaten only by good ol redneck boys in the deep south in roadside diners. They're a fooking abomination. HTH
Depends where you are on their route I was advised a long time ago. If they've a lot of pre 9 pre 12 deliveries any address that will put them on a time penalty on the route won't be loaded on the van or if it is won't get delivered if time is more important. I used to be on a route that was first drop as closest to the depot, driver told me to stop wasting money on pre 9 delivery slots as he'd would drop them to me in any case and just have a pre 12.
I had to write a report on the failings of a “family office” aka Hedge fund team, that fucked up with a task, 2 weeks ago. At 11am today, the owner is making me read out the full audit trail of failures, whilst everyone is on the conference call and muted. Then I am meeting them Tuesday to most likely fire 2 of them under gross misconduct. The joys.
I'd hate a job 9-5, I've been freelance all my working life bar 3 Months. It has it's up's and downs but working to someone else's idea of a working day just doesn't appeal to me. Also I find companies make very bad choices on how a job should be done and they have very low targets for what can be achieved during a day.
Hedge fund, audit trail, conference call, you lost me bud. We are all making money for the man, unless you are one of the super elites.
We are all working for the 'man' but it depends how much more we can lever out of him and on who's terms, that makes the difference if you're freelancing.
I suppose it's all down to skills and motivation. Personally i survived my working with my hands, and not trying to outwit some other bullshine merchant. I found it hard sometimes, but looking back now and seeing how today's working environments are managed and carried out, i know i would do it all again rather than be involved today.
Oh I work hands on, I just outwork their own fitters by a considerable margin, but then my hours and pay are a whole level more than their employees. It's just their own employees don't like the risk of not knowing if there's a weeks work coming if they go freelance.
Scudder i don't like where this going , so i will bow out bud, and just refer you to my last sentence.
Standard corporate chatter in this world, nothing fancy. I noticed in your next post that you’re a hands on man. Well, with my ADHD and Dyslexia, I am completely the opposite. One mans elite, is another mans failure so I don’t know where I sit on that ladder. My big boss is HMRC but I simply refuse to make another person wealthier by slogging away. Plus, I am very difficult to manage if the person above me is shit. Hence I work for myself.
Whilst I agree with you, in truth we're always working for someone else be it a client or the Govt (aka VAT/Tax man). At least when working for yourself you have the option to tell them where to get off
