Corporate chatter oh OK. Why do the disorders ( if that is ok to use ) that you have restrict you from manual tasks ? BTW one sits on a fence and stands on a ladder............... I hope it's the big fat cats you go after bud ? I could come out of retirement.
My business partner doesn't let me near most of our clients now days. He says if it was left to me there would be no clients left! Guess who gets the phone call to sort them out when they get tricky or don't pay though?
Because to be an engineering mindset, you have to think a particular way, I think the total opposite. It’s as simple as that. I have tried, it’s just not meant to be. My ADHD is genuinely a gift. It means I hyper focus and can push boundaries. i do struggle with the down times though, so there’s a flip side, you can easily hyper focus on the negatives. For business, it has given me what I have today, which is a lifestyle as a kid I didn’t think was possible. I was only recently diagnosed but it’s been life changing to understand how to maximise this, rather than hinder. I now take breaks every hour for 15 minutes to clear my mind and when going private, within 2 years I quadrupled my income and worked probably the same hours.
Went down Fowlers in Bristol (their kind of re-opening as it were) thought it was going to be rammed but quite quiet....which enabled me to get to the spares counter and get a chainset on order for the RSV4....Kawasaki have now been swallowed up (from Avon Street) and are now on the top floor....
Finally cleaned the bug guts off my multi. Then it decided to rain. Now I'm going for a ride. Whoop! So long, lockdown
Nowt much today. Couldn't even continue the house painting. I hate ladders even more when there's a 50Km/h wind blowing
Made the most of the day for once, today. Popped down to the fabrication shop at work, took some measurements, made a dwg and rattled this little beauty up. @nelly, Job’s a good un, thanks anyway...
Was a tad windy down at Camber Sands (and did wonder whether my bike might not blow over at one point), but good for the soul all the same
Set up my first new stereo in 30 years. Yamaha amp and speakers, Nad turntable, just waiting for the CD player to turn up. Gave Dawns 821 Monster an oil and filter change, took it for a quick run, all oil tight. Now sitting drinking wine listening to some records.
A bit of therapy today, cleaned and fed the Daytonas. Odd I know but I find cleaning and feeding the boots with leather conditioner very relaxing. Andy
Took delivery of a five speed gearbox for my little Suzuki 200. The SB is only 4 speed. I was watching a whole GT engine on eBay but it is down in Halifax so even if I were to borrow a car I still couldn't really go and collect it. Could make use of it though. Might do a thread in 'Other Bikes' of the conversion and am definitely doing a thread on the Supersport. I will be stripping it down over the winter and doing all the jobs that should have been done years ago - things like greasing the steering head bearings. Boring but necessary.
So assuming the socket is a driver for an internal jack thingy? Good job, nice and simple and easy to use.
Bit of boxing training with my lad, slight accident when I let the pads too close to my face and he landed a good blow to my nose.
