More or less, mate. The socket is welded on to a length of M20 threaded bar. The nut is on the lower section so just pushes the arm up, or lowers it down...
After fitting an auto advance retard gear on the Triton magneto , today I removed the manual cable adjuster and fixed it solid. It involved locking the removable cam sleave. Steve
What Auto A/R did you fit Lucas or BTH they are interchagable and you changed the cam ring ? Good to see you have the long bolt conversion under the mag saves a lot swearing.
Had the same idea as another 15 or so riders, turned up at On Yer Bike near Aylesbury hoping the burger van might have been open but no Still, did just over 100 miles and got back before the heavens opened and poured with rain. Not many riders out before mid day but loads after that. Saw a nice 848 in Evo Corse colours at OYB but no chance for a chat. Looking forward to a roast dinner later, got a nice big piece of local sirloin Andy
Lucas auto gear, it's whatever is available at a sensible price, I had to remove the cam to get the cable out, just replaced it again and locked it into position, didn't change it. Might change the end casing to an auto at a later date. Steve
Just back from a proper shakedown ride on the 748 to make sure everything is as it should be after finishing its total restoration last October. It was as sweet as a nut, simply superb and boy do those EBC HH pads make a difference
That takes me back to my teens - I used to put my Triton magneto to fully retarded as I went down the high st, making massive backfires. Yoof, eh?
Received this (thanks Jeff)... Did this... Went for a shakedown ride to here... Was a nice ride out from Brizzle. Unfortunately got baulked on the lovely set of A420 bends nearby but there's always another day. Hopefully the two Multi riders going the other way enjoyed them...
What a nice simple job..but it looks like you've missed one screw out on the top horizontal LHS bar.?
