  2. In addition to, or as a replacement to the 848?

  3. Replacement. 848 had to go unfortunately. The Diavel is so easy to ride, I really liked it. Gone for the red with white stripe. Not getting any mods(yet!).

  6. Why did the 848 have to go?

BTW I can see myself having one at some point in the future :upyeah:

  7. Couldn't afford two bikes:( I did say I'd never get rid of it, but after the rad splitting the other week and the spring snapping in the gear box I'd lost a bit of confidence in it lasting. It's not a bad bike by any means, but I want hassle free knowing things are covered by warranty.

I've also had a re-think about what I want a bike for. Trackdays out, nice long rides pooling around the country in relative comfort in.

    I will miss it!

  9. Nothing like optimism!

  10. Or an expired car and a 100 mile per day commute, combined with a very well timed PPI payout!

  11. I went back to the Paleo Festival, where I didn't get rained on. I was invited by a band I did some translation work for so saw them, went backstage (with my magic pass) to the exclusive artists' and hangers-on bar, chatted to them, went to see another band (Anthony Joseph and the Spasm Band - pretty good funk) and then Santana. Santana were good, but after an hour I had the impression that I'd been looking at them for 2. Then went home early (work today). Good evening.

  12. That's good Glid I'm pleased you're pleased.
I went kayaking with my daughter today in glorious sunshine on a calm ocean, heaven. Whilst out I took some pics with the iphone , and thought wouldn't this look good in panorama, so I downloaded an app ,and took one . Looks great and not bad for a first attempt whilst bobbing around.

  13. Played 18 holes in the blazing sun at Warwickshire Golf Club, first time the sticks been out in 2 1/2 years and since back surgery. Bit red, bit sore, but knackered, much fun

  14. Is that where you all eat meat and berries and drag women by their hair after a good clubbing...

  15. Just a few mods...!
Finally back together and ragged up the road for the first time in two years...

  18. Had a problem with the accord last week (ac compressor and lower pulley expired) and had the usual honda problem of no parts availability, so sold the accord to a guy who runs a Honda specialist garage and bought this....

Its got the higher SE spec, the 1.8 20 valve engine and the all important (for me) auto box. Full seat main dealer history, 72,000 miles on the clock and two previous owners. Its in genuinely immaculate condition and drives like a new car. Cost? £1250 with a 3 month warranty and MOT until Feb 2014 and a few days tax left. It drives every bit as good as it looks.

My brother had a Leon 20VT Cupra, and he reckons this one is in better condition than his was at 20,000 miles. He had his from new, and did 110,000 miles in it with only a water pump failure at 100,000 miles. It was only the arrival of kid number 2 and the need for a bigger car that meant it had to go.

  19. Trip by car to Devizes, Wiltshire to drop off parts for powder coating, two 18 inch alloy wheels and various steel frame parts. Steve Turner (TPCS Wheels) will do the wheels gold, the rest black gloss. He does an excellent job. That will complete the powder coating of wheel & frame parts for my three Pantahs.

Steve showed me his Honda Fireblade-engined car, which is a bit like a Westfield only lighter and cheaper. He has powder coated the four wheels four different colours.
