Ordered a usb charging socket thingy for the RSV4 for the handlebars....sunday is looking good for a run down to Loomies from Bristol (first actual ride out this year, and since september last year)....a little split as my other mates are going the other way into Wales on a panzer blitzkrieg...decisions decisions....
Just got back from our chosen local pub. Booked a table last Sunday for tonight, took the bus down and have just enjoyed a very pleasant evening. The landlord has got it absolutely right for me with a balance between what is sensible for the current situation and the pub having atmosphere. 6 pints of Badgers best bitter and a steak pie with mash and red cabbage in the company of my besty, what more could a man ask for. Great end to a successful day having finally got the rear brake on the Diavel bled. What an ffffffffing faff that was. Andy
having got a bit fed up modifying the 1098 loom for the project, I decided to have a break from the bike.. So, looking around the garage for an idea when I saw this.. which is half of a board that me and FE used as a ramp to put bikes in the van until he bought a folding ally one. So that became this..
Spitfire just went over our house (South Bristol) - heading towards Bristol airport....saw it in the distand but the sound was unmistakable...just incase anyone round here wants to keep an eye out.....never get tired of watching a spitfire....hairs go up on my arms when you hear them....
Went for a blast on the 900, not the warmest of days and bloody windy(AGAIN)!! Apart from that fuck all.
Fitted my nice shiny as new Navihalter I just got from @apatchy. Took me a little while to figure it out, but it’s so simple I’m embarrassed!. Also disconnected the old garmin wiring and soldered on the new leads etc. I must say I DO NOT like the way the new Garmin XT clicks onto its holder so quietly, you have to really double check its on right, good old 395 gave a good solid audible click to say I’m in ok!
Me and my ex have finally completed on the house transfer, she's bought me out and I'm now off the mortgage. Forthcoming move will be mortgage free and that feels good 35 years I've been a slave to the banks on that, no more. To celebrate that and Rishi Sunaks stamp duty holiday, which is only government scheme related to corona virus that's been of benefit to me, I've booked ferries and accommodation for a solo trip to Corsica in September. Can't wait to be on the continent again!
We’ve spent most of the day in Bramhall with my brother in law and his wife, as it’s his birthday tomorrow. Weather was a bit shit this morning but it turned out nice this afternoon so we went for a nice walk, and we had a bbq this evening
