  3. The front indicators on my ST4 have cables that are long enough that I don't need to disconnect them to remove the rest of the fairing, just pull it forward enough to clear the supports and balance it on top of the supports - or if I need to move it further just a 1/4 turn of the lamp holder removes it. Are your cables snagging on something that you have to disconnect to remove the rest of the fairing? It is a crap design in the whole so maybe they added more indicator cable after a certain date?

  5. Quote-
He told me my nearside rear tyre was knacked (a run-flat), so that wasn't so good - he advised changing the horrible run-flats for normal tyres and put a battery powered 12v compressor with a couple of cans of sealant in the boot. He said when a run-flat deflates he often finds the rim can get damaged, and said he would not have them on his car because they affect the ride so badly.

So I checked out the on-line tyre prices and tonight ordered two Michelin Pilot 4 sports from ATS for £328 (on offer) They're getting fitted on saturday.[/QUOTE]

So this morning I get a call from ATS saying "there is a problem with getting your Michelin Pilot tyres - they're on back-order and we can't get them until 3rd Sept. I can look at what we have in stock and if there is a price difference we will stand it?"

Me " Well ok, if you have alternative Michelins I'll go with them"

ATS "No, you don't understand - we cant get Michelin tyres until 3rd September"

Me " Ok then, email me with options and price differences of your premium brands and I'll make a decision"

Next thing I get an email from ATS "Hi, we've rung around and managed to get two of the tyres you originally ordered, so everything is ok"

  8. Went out for a spin on the 996 and it's another fucking scorcher, got back and drunk 6 million gallons of squash(Dehydrated) and let the bike cool a bit and seeing it is so hot i thought it would be a good idea to try and polish up my pipes, didn't last long sweating uncontrollably, chucked the towel in, time for a nice ice lolly and very cold drink!!

  11. Everyone with AC at home or the Office.....

    TOP TIPS

Clean the filters (turn it off first), lift the cover or lower it depending on the type and take the filter out.
Give it a bash outside and then wash it in warm soapy water.... quick shake and put them back in... turn on AC max fan, cooling..... then switch the fan to AUTO, Mode to Cooling and temperature to about 24°C... up or down a bit.... much more comfortable when moving from room to room.
It's kinder to the AC system as it allows the indoor fan to run at the correct speed...

Far too many users set the fan to low or quiet or MIN and then set 18°C.... the room stays at about 25°C... the poor old outdoor unit is making more liquid refrigerant than is needed.
The indoor fan is unable to select the correct speed to boil off the refrigerant.... very inefficient.

Also DONT USE "AUTO" in the mode selection.... temperature control is terrible.... Hot day use cooling and cold day heating.
AUTO for FAN SPEED -VERY GOOD.

  16. Round 3 has ended in tears - front fairings been up and down like a whores drawers all afternoon, finally got everything lined up and realised that the air "ram" section needs to go on first. Much Anglo Saxon later and now one of the well nuts has decided that it wants to self destruct - of course it's under the nose fairing. Drowning my sorrows in gallons of ice cold Bud - got a mate coming round tommorow to offer morale support - need to get some use out of him as he's bought a BMW S1000rr and he's collecting it Saturday - should be, er, fun :(.
