its just started raining here! finally! cool air

 

I’m on exemption chiz unless told otherwise

 

Fitted some new discs(galfer) and pads(sbs dual carbon) these with the addition of a set of supercorsas and a brembo rcs corsa corta is insane! The braking is unreal and humbling, I set the corsa corta to the R setting for a few fast miles and I felt like a superhero, rear end lifting and fish tailing! I have set it back to the N setting for day to day to keep out of trouble.Absolutely amazing.....

Cheers yes I think it’s quiet saw quite a few cold boxes been carried on I think people are staying in the cabins and they do announce to stay in cabins but they leave the bar open until 11 I think

The van blower saga - part 2.
Thanks to @DucatiScud I learned I had to cut out part of the dash with a hacksaw to get to the blower resistor. It is not a 5 min job despite what the man in the video says.


Eventually removed the criss-cross bit, got the resistor out and can see a)it’s rusty and b)something’s melted on it. how either of those 2 things can have occurred is beyond me



Replacement one ordered.

Then tried to put back the part of the dash I didn’t need to remove had I known what I was doing and managed to find the same video DucatiScud found when I searched for something on the subject. Almost had it all back in place when a very important part fell off into the bowels of the dash , of FFS.

To retrieve that part I pulled the radio out - not there. I pulled the cubby hole beneath the ration our - not there . I ended up having to remove another part of the fascia to eventually find it at the very very bottom, about to disappear not the floor pan. Phew.

Now just have to fit the new resistor when it arrives and reassemble the rest of the dash.

 

Did you find your 10mm socket in there too...?

 

One positive Paul...if the police ever need to fingerprint you they won’t need to bother they can see plain as day if you are innocent or guilty...very distinctive fingerprints mate
