Had a great day with bro2 and Jorg the laughing German. No pics I’m afraid but see the link below for our route. We went to Trevelez which is the highest village in Spain. Higher than the peak of Ben Nevis in fact. Also famous for its Serrano Ham. Temperature dropped to 12 degrees up there, just about ok with a mesh jacket and T-shirt. On the rest of the route the kit and the temperature was perfect. The Castrol React seemed good too but 36psi in the rear tyre felt too firm and much to the curiosity of my fellow riders I let some air out. The roads up there are like a race track so it felt better a few psi lower. It just felt like it was loosing grip slightly and when I dropped the rear pressure a touch it felt like the tyre spread and gripped a slight bit more. Trevelez, that brings back memories. But isn’t the road up there a bit dodgy? I remember driving up there from Almuñécar in an old ford escort and looking down at that drop a few hundred metres straight down!
Set off from Gloucester to Birmingham then Barnsly to Leeds now in Scarborough in something like a hostel so I’m acting like I should be in it sat outside drinking wine overlooking the sea ... not quite Torrevieja disc parking so out by 9am I came here as I had booked into the grand hotel but I didn’t stay half hour in there ...grand it is not This wino thing isn’t too bad
It’s worth zooming in on the map to see just how twisty it is in various sections. Many of the roads around here have massive drops off the side. If you get it wrong there’s no coming back. Most of the surfaces are excellent though, in a different league to ours. The A346 to Torvizcon is absolutely fantastic and well worth travelling to ride it. From there up to Trevelez is pretty tight and I wouldn’t want to be doing it in an Escourt.
Let us know what you think when you get it back. Mind you the real deal is that it’s supposed to keep your rear brake effective for longer, well, as effective as a Ducati rear brake is.
Went for a spin to Loomies garage on the 996 for some bits and this unicorn pulled in, had a chat with the owner who said he has had it for 10 years and paid 13k for it, result, they are selling for (if you can find one) i don't know because i can't find any on the net for sale, there is one i saw at auction in the states that sold for $35,000 very nice investment, but the owner said his is no garage queen, he rides it. Oh yes, got home and the fucking expansion tank has split, the engine has had a nice coolant shower but fortunately not to much so i need a new one, i might go far a carbon one.

Oh shit news, what was you on?, i keep going out on the 996 and forgetting my emergency puncture kit it's under the seat of my 900ie, i usually carry it in my rucksack just in case.
Well i did the other two reds ones mon/tues and today the 916,so third time lucky i got my arse kicked,but hey ho that's life i guess,but i'd enjoy the challenge of trying to bring it home by hoping from one petrol station to the other.They just couldn't repair it at the Harley shop,so i left it there overnight with a sleepless night ahead of me.
Yes understand the sleepless night thing but she should be good, just hope they don't whip the engine out and stick a 1200 shovel motor in it, sorry couldn't help it
Fitted the new central heating boiler diverter valve motor housing and it works nicely. Just running the heating up for the first time since February to check for any issues. It won’t be fired up in anger for a couple of months yet but prudent to check whilst it’s still mild. Andy
