Today we walked the Glossop/Longdendale walk round Torside reservoir in the beautiful Longdendale Valley, in north Derbyshire. It was a bit chilly at first but very enjoyable.
Security camera fitted to the back of the house....impressed with the zoom on it... Bit of lens flare as the sun comes up at the back of the house also....
Yep - same view....cost me 250 quid on ebay ( i think the retail is 4 or 500 ish )....second hand but only used for a couple of weeks.....got it bolted up on the rear corner of the house so it gets 180 degree view of the back of the house and can swing round and cover the back of my garage, garden, patio etc etc...heres what it is.... https://www.hikvision.com/en/products/IP-Products/PTZ-Cameras/Pro-Series/ds-2de4225iw-de-s5-/ Plug in an ethernet cable (from my powered hub) and thats pretty well it....away you go... You can get some real bargains as lots of security companies sell them after theyve been deployed on a building sites etc etc....
We had ours fitted last weekend. And last night the installation guy came back to refine the privacy blocking on 2 cameras. We are still getting to grips with the notifications though, as I woke up to 73 notifications since 11pm last night
Yeah - mines got a privacy mask...while i cant look in any of my neighbours houses i can see over their back gardens - had a word with one side (but not the other yet) and said that ill park the camera by default over my patio which doesnt look over either side. However re the privacy mask i kinda think if something happened in my nextdoor neighbours house id feel a bit guilty if i had a camera and it didnt pick some some shit breaking into their house....
I’d feel the same but my neighbours seem to be a bit sensitive to it, which I get, but they’re not really that interesting anyway
Yeah - i get on really well with both sides of our house....ive got one out the front as well, that literally looks at the car. I prefer the PTZ type of camera as you only need the one...and not your house looking like an ncp car park...the one on the front is tiny and screwed up under the eves, so visually not intrusive either...
