It's not my ceiling and he wanted it plastered, but the acid test is was it worth all that effort or not when it dries in a few days time..
I always recommend to customers to overboard downstairs ceilings, been called out to a few where they have been skimmed over and its not bonded properly. Although the gritty pva is pretty good
Agreed. The houses I renovate, that are empty, I pull the old ceilings down and re-board. I wouldn't like to do that in an occupied house though.
Tell me about it. I've got at least 4 ceilings to do on a property I'm buying at the moment as they are artexed. I've got a labourer now though so I might just be loading the skip when the dust settles.
I just completed one of the annual car insurance renewal dances.. Receive renewal quote: up by 25% Check comparison sites to get some leverage 1 phone call: now the quote is less than last year.. Why make me go through this every time? i can only fathom enough people just accept/don't even look at it to make it profitable for them or actually incentivises people to call up and confess about convictions, accidents etc. can't work it out: the savings are significant so does that make it a good use of my time even though it should be unnecessary?
