  1. We’ve been for a run to Slaithwaite (pronounced Slawit) to buy some artisan bread:)

  2. Did you go on the scrambler, you big old hipster you!
    :)

  3. It’s been lashing down all day. So it was the cars turn.

oh and we bought an artisan focaccia too. How hipster am I?

  4. Too cool for school!

    Nice toasted though.

  5. Sold the little 80 to a club member for his boy who’s nine. Bike has served us well in the two years we’ve had it and only lost £100 depreciation. Time for a 125 and the big course when he’s twelve in January.

  6. Helping prepare a roast lamb dinner with the trimmings although my main responsibility will be carving. Other than that, a lazy day, chillin' with a cold Peroni (might have been 2 :D). Andy

  19. Went to Mainsgill farm shop with Mrs W for a spot of lunch and took her car for a change. It’s a Seat Leon with the DSG gearbox so we stopped at some lights and I popped it into neutral “ what did you do there “ she asked so I went through the whole explanation as to why it was good practice mechanically to select neutral while stationary etc and she’s held it in D the whole time she’s had the car which is about four years !

  20. For me, that is the biggest bugbear with the DSG box. Even the IAM issued a special bulletin to observers, stating that drivers should not have the vehicle in D with the handbrake on because the engine management system jacks the engine revs up thinking it’s going to stop you from stalling.
