So what have you done today..?

  1. We’ve had a rather productive day considering we’re under house arrest like the rest of the nation.

First off we went to a local farm shop for some stuff, then to balance it out went to the local Lidl to buy some basics like bread and milk. But I also bought a nifty document shredder for £10 from the ‘middle of lidl’ :upyeah:

SWMBO has spent the past hour shredding old papers she’d sorted out the other day that weren’t relevant/needed anymore.

I’ve just spent the past hour cleaning all my biking boots and polishing them with Renapur, whilst daydreaming of warmer, lighter days :)

  2. I felt ok but around 11 I felt like I was getting a cold and took some paracetamol. Lunchtime I started to feel a bit funny my head feels a bit wooly and I’m cold I’m sat in blanket and fire on in front room
Slept for an hour I feel really tired and feel a bit sick. Feel shaky too

perhaps half hour of keep fit wasn’t a good idea o_O

  3. Which vaccine was it?

My youngest brother had the Pfizer one and felt fine, but his colleagues had the Astra Zeneca one a few days before him and felt just like you did plus a couple also vomited too.

SWMBO had the AZ one too but it didn’t seem to affect her at all except for the sore arm.

  4. It’s the Astra one

  9. If you get stopped in future , tell plod you got confused due to covid .

  10. Had a quiet afternoon , so googled prepping .

  11. Just found out that a guy I know who’s a grumpy bugger at the best of times has got a new neighbour in the form of a Z list celebrity called Scarlet Moffat who has bought the bungalow next to his. Can’t wait to wind him up about it.

  12. Yesterday, went to father in laws to install a stair gate for him. He’s 97, we don’t want him tumbling down the stairs. Even though we’re in his ‘bubble’ we didn’t go near him, which was a shame. On the way back dropped in at my mums. Or should I say stayed outside at my mums, waved and chatted through the window, also a shame.

Did get chance to look at my bikes though. Checked them over briefly, sighed, covered them up again and had to leave them there. That made it a shame, shame, shame.

Roll on when the weather gets better... and of course when things open up again.

    I’m gagging for a ride.

  15. I’ve just booked my first vaccination for tomorrow afternoon as I’m apparently classed as a ‘main support’ to my wife who’s a “vulnerable”. Anyway I think she’d refute and object to that description of me.

Hopefully we are on the way to some normality :upyeah:

  16. I've had 3 or 4 of these, after much discussion managed to get out of them due to my job. It was a bit of a struggle, but will be willing when I retire

  17. I managed to get out of one too. I told them their ‘expenses’ didn’t cover my loss of wages.

  18. I’ve done a little over a week of jury service, I found it quiet interesting. I didn’t get onto a jury for a couple of days then the case I did do had the previous jury dismissed.

Turned out the accused was guilty of the crime, despite the Police coming over as a shambles as witnesses.

Well worth doing IMO should you get the chance.

  19. I think she’s ok with it other than the hassle of driving to Teesside and parking wearing a mask all day
etc. My main issue would be staying awake after lunch in a stuffy court room !
