  2. I have a griddle on my gas hob the recipe says to make sure it’s hot but ... it was too hot so I moved it to the other side with lower heat
All trial and error for the first go
Not sure I understood what 1cm thick was either :joy::joy:

  4. Applied for a new passport using the Passport Office web site on Sunday as my current one expires in August (where did those 10 years go ?). Lots of stories in the press about delays, 200,000 people waiting etc so I am pleasantly surprised this morning to receive an email acknowledging receipt of my passport which was posted on Monday. The Passport Office web site says renewals are taking about 3 weeks, fingers crossed o_O Andy

  7. Took my lad for his first lateral flow test yesterday which was negative as we’d expected. He’s got another one tomorrow then back to school on Monday.
No positive tests recorded at his school so far which is great.

  9. Well I've just spent the past few hours refining a business plan as it adds value to my worth on a project I could be involved with. That said if they dont come up with the goodies they dont get the BP :)

Just had a call with the developer who is now going to try and find the money to take me on as a consultant to the project.

  10. Sounds promising, will be in the similar field you were involved with previously?

  11. Yes......but it's a major "adrenaline" resort with a few other major complimentary attractions, so my part would be on the snowsports element and the operational and commercial integration with the other activities.

It'll be a great project to be involved with and so far my involvement has been "at risk" but if they want to develop things then they are going to have to dig deep :)

  15. My friend, whose house is on the market, has noticed a rise in the people booking viewings just so they have a legitimate reason for travelling to areas where they shouldn’t and just not turning up.

  16. Makes sense I guess.
Agent said they are all keen so just got to take the risk. It’s an ideal FTB house in a good area, or buy to let investment so fingers crossed.

Hoping for a bidding war to up the price to be honest as I’m convinced it’s £10k too low.

  17. Next door but one put their house on the market with Ewemove a couple of weeks ago and had two full asking price offers within a day. They finally accepted an offer of £5k over the asking price. Andy

  18. Yeah and the press like to keep saying it’s all going tits up and prices are going down...doom gloom.

They have either no idea or no connection to reality.

There’s five years of pent up demand just bursting to move.

  19. The market is crying out for new stock at the minute, especially in Oxted according to the local estate agents.

  20. Not sure about Oxted but the property market is definitely buoyant at the moment.
    Good luck joe.
