  5. Heap good chuckle, heap good. :)

  6. More tidying in my back garden this morning, the bonfire pile is coming along nicely and decided to continue to thin the boundary hedge to encourage some new growth. Chainsaw Man super hero safety kit on and fired up the chainsaw, much to the delight of the neighbours :D It was nearly midday BST when all is said and done and I did wait for next door to open their bedroom curtains :joy: Been offered lunch, beer and BT Sport for the afternoon in the company of my besty, it doesn’t get better than that :upyeah: Andy

  7. Just be careful with those chainsaws as they bite hard and fast.

  8. Some of the camera shops have a reasonable selection. I have a celestron - i find it a reasonable starter one , as thats what i am

  9. First thing I re-sited a wind sculpture that had blown over last night in the back garden. And for the rest of the day I’ve done the square root of bugger all, apart from watching motorbike racing :)

  10. Replaced the sight glass on my R1150rt, didn’t take as long as I feared.

Next up will be fork seals and paint fork lowers.

  12. Thank you for your concern. It’s been a good few years since I had formal training to use the saw but I still wear the safety gear and I make sure the saw is well maintained with a correctly tensioned chain. Small stuff today with my feet firmly planted on the ground. I definitely don't climb trees any more. Andy

  13. They sure do I have witnessed the aftermath of a chewed finger my grandad and uncle were cutting trees down and in they came with a bucket with my grandads hand dripping blood into it finger hanging off.
A trip to hospital a saved finger and a few stitches

My boy has done his chain saw training and has all the gear I ask him not to tell me he is sawing that day otherwise I will worry all day

  15. It’s ok here.....bit overcast and breezy but around 15C.

I’ve been to B&Q for some compost as we are getting a visit from brother and sister in law tomorrow and she’ll be bringing plants.

I’ve also got the patio table and chairs out and uncovered and cleaned down the patio bench in readiness for a sunny and 21C day tomorrow.

It’ll be nice to have some people round for a change and to be able to sit outside having lunch etc
