So what have you done today..?

  1. Hopefully the woman you deal with there will be a bit more cheerful and helpful than when I last dealt with her. The product is well designed but tbh mine was poorly finished and the customer service leaves a great deal to be desired as she was a misery guts when I ordered the trailer and extremely unhelpful when the trailer turned out to be a bit of a Friday afternoon job. If it all works from the get go and nothing falls off or the metal is not left so sharp that it cuts you or your bike's front tyre to ribbons then you'll be fine. However, if you have a problem then expect to be given the runaround and be treated as if you are trying to defraud them.

FYI - make sure that if you order 10" wheels (or, as in my case, they have run out of 8" wheels so you either pay extra for the larger items or don't get a trailer) your towing iron is mounted quite high or else the ramp won't reach the ground and you won't be able to load your bike. This is not mentioned in the instructions.

  4. Made an offer on this old girl I’m not really a Kawasaki fan but quite like this one.
Last on the road twelve years ago !

  5. I keep looking at 250 and 400s but would have to sell one of the Ducatis as the garage is full! That looks like it will polish up a treat :upyeah:

  7. I got quite excited when I first saw it but off the top of my head

    Forks badly pitted
    Rattle can paint job
    Throttle seized solid
    Seat ripped
    Tank rusty inside

Then there’s the usual stuff like tyres and tubes brakes seized etc so there’s a bit to do on it if I get it plus negotiating on these bikes is difficult because sellers assume prices asked on eBay are what they are worth.

I made a decent offer on it so will have to wait and see.

  8. Most that stuff is fairly straight forward to sort with a CC or lots of your time, though "Rusty inside the tank" can be a huge problem. I'm glad I did my bluesmoke project though, and riding it today was brilliant.

    Goodluck!

  9. Back in the day when the seats were built like armchairs unlike the ones today, good luck if he accepts your bid.

  10. It’s easy to get carried away with these old bikes. I sold a matching numbers 350Lc last summer which is probably the most desirable two stroke at the moment and the guy has spent 4K restoring it. Ok the thing is like a new bike now but restoration costs are more or less the same regardless of the desirability of the model. I think the going rate for a paint job is around £850 and people seem happy to pay that amount !

  11. For me i look at these paint quotes and the time frame required & compare it too what i would earn in a day, if it's more then i know they're taking me down the garden path. The secret is when buying the product just make sure your ahead of the curve on the money front to allow any unseen issues, but you know that already because you own a 888.:upyeah:

  12. Today mostly I have just been doing trivial stuff like ripping the back of the house off.

I figure some spray foam and draught excluder should sort it. FA50F9AB-219F-4301-92F3-2A69DE99214B.jpeg

  13. I’ve just had a couple of hours on the V2 for the first time this year. Stuck mainly to the back roads and did about 65 miles at a nice brisk pace :)

Now sat in the garden admiring the work we did yesterday :upyeah:

  15. I need to find inner peace although I’m probably going to resort to dumplings. Trying to deal with HMRC and DWP at any time is a challenge but during this pandemic it is just impossible  Andy

Not the best flowers but they'll do the old girl.:D @Ducbird
