I am not sure but those looks like "Poor Knights" as we say in Sweden .My mother use to bake them when i was a kid sometime in the stone age.
I'd to take a Recce on a location in the country with the white roads and no sat nav just road signs / nose, hmm, i have to say it felt very peculiar sitting perched up like the Gods today on the red one unlike the previous six rides out in the silver & yellow cheap seats.
I've tried that move before and the only problem is when the shit hits the fan your in very deep water.
Today I’ve been mostly cleaning/vacuuming the house whilst SWMBO has made beef rendang (by the bucket load as it freezes well) and homemade granola. We’ve also had a call with #2 son about ideas/costs for home improvements we are helping him with (as well as #1 son but he has different priorities). Thankfully both are involved in the facilities management and construction industries so have access to “mates rates” on the labour front which helps keeps costs down and increases the budget for quality and quantity of materials. I’ve also done some exercising and got my kit ready for going out tomorrow for the day with my friend.
Been blood let and zapped this afternoon, just need to wait for results to be communicated to my doctor. Blood pressure not good again but I have a tin hat ready for when the sh*t hits the fan Andy
Ground floor extension, new kitchen, bi-fold doors and all that good stuff. Also decided I was too busy to put the new rear Metzeler M9RR that’s been sitting in my garage for a while on the rim myself. So took it to my local tyre shop and they whizzed it on for nowt. I do buy my car tyres from them and they know me. I bunged the lad that swapped the tyres over a fiver and he was happy. I took the wheel off at the weekend and it’ll go back on Saturday. I did balance it myself though, with my balancer and new big locating cones. ( That’s another story). Really looking forward to trying the new tyre, the shape is so different from the Bridgestone which was a distress purchase in Portugal. I think it will further improve the manoeuvrability and cornering.
I’ve been out since 8.30am on the Scrambler with two friends The ride included riding in West Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire, Lancashire, North Yorkshire and Cumbria Plod was out in force near Devils Bridge, with 6 cars parked up along a stretch of about 5 miles of the A65. But apart from that it was relatively police free Heated gloves did their job until the last half hour on the way home. Then I felt the cold
On the bike at 9.50am this morning froze my nuts off, skimmed past the Dorking roundabout and that's the closest i got to Boxhill on a bike in very longtime.
