Frozen peas make the best ice packs. You can mold them around your leg really perfectly, and they refreeze quickly!
I know what I know but sadly I don’t know a lot more than I know which doesn’t make for a good quizzer I have been a fan of AC/DC for many years and that image of Bon Scott is something any fan will recognise immediately Andy
A little bit of weekend work and it will fine, said the man from Bangers & Cash. The four door version is not as desirable as a two me thinks for chassis stiffness / looks etc.
BC (Before COVID), GPs and local NHS trusts often seem to get stick for the amount of time it takes to get appointments and then referrals and then treatment. As some will be aware, I have an issue with my knee at this moment in time, so I want to redress the balance and give a big shout out for my local NHS. I went to A&E yesterday, had a telephone consultation with my Physiotherapist this afternoon and given a face to face appointment next Friday, with an offer of a steroid injection on the day (yes please ) and referral for surgery (not my favourite choice ) if the injury turns out to be that serious. Andy
Have you got any idea what it is yet Andy? (the knee) did it swell as a result of overuse or was it an impact? also, how big is the swelling/are your normal trousers are out of the question yet? (humour to follow). If you think it's bursitis and you can clearly work out that there is a sac of fluid present then do not be tempted to lance it, you probably know this anyway.
I didn't know Bon Scott had any shirt's TBH, so that's what threw me. He must have borrowed the one in the statue from "The Faith Healer"! (Another great Scottish singer taken far too early...)
Chatting over the phone, potentially related to the medial meniscus tear diagnosed (and treated) at the end of last year and more likely that than a tear in the muscle which the hospital thought might be the reason. Soft tissue damage is so hard to diagnose without a scan. Definitely not a bursitis, had one of those which the doctor almost rubbed his hands in glee when he asked if he could lance it. No, it’s a general swelling around the joint making it look twice the size and feel wooly and stiff (ooh er missus ) Leg up, ice packs and don’t do any gardening until my Physio has a look next Friday. I am concerned I might not be able to ride but I’ll give it a few days before I try. Andy
ah, I remember that now, very surprised the doctor suggested lancing, have known that to escalate the problem no matter how sterile his "tool" is.
I washed down one mobile site office and three cars today, so a little jaded at the minute, getting ready for the match this evening at 7ish.
Seeing as I didn’t get to do this on Tuesday me and slow Dave managed to do it today Pickering was buzzing as Tom Cruise is currently in residence and filming a new “Mission Impossible” there. We did see the film crew mobile homes etc but no sign of the diminutive Mr Cruise. Total of 203 miles done. Lovely Only blip on the day was about a mile from home for slow Dave, when a Royal Mail van reversed into him at a junction and snapped a clip on the front mudguard of his panzer. I knew nothing about it as I’d left him about 20 mins before. Tomorrow is a tootle around Lancashire methinks
Road trip to pick up the little Gasgas 125 which is in fantastic condition. The guy I bought it off turned out to be one of the top engineers at Williams F1.
