I was floating around a industrial estate today looking for pallets when i came across an open warehouse door shutter with a Desmosedici, Sp4 and Exactwelds 250cc racebike having vinyl wrap applied etc.
At last started on the Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists training. Joined in Nov last year but due to covid the training was postponed. Looking forward to taking the test later this year.
Tidied up my workbench - had to as there was no space left to work at. Also, it was pissing down so couldn't do anything outside.

I keep looking locally to see if anyone is getting a new kitchen fitted, then I might get some free worktops and even some units. I kept a bit of uPVC window sill type stuff for something like 15 years, then decided to throw it out one morning - I found a use for it that afternoon!!!
I’ve just put another coat of paint on the patio table and also resprayed the garden bench. Hopefully it won’t rain for the next 24 hours.
Thank you it did. It’s made me feel a bit pants for 36hrs but I’m feeling a better this afternoon. It makes my bones ache and I felt sick yesterday with a headache and tired but thankfully it doesn’t last too long I now have some bone pain relief for 3 months
Made a throttle spacer for the monster, took all of half an hour, Use a sheet of 1mm thick stainless steel sheet. Cut a strip 5mm wide and formed around a piece of 6mm steel. Once a square boxed end formed cut to length and bent in with pliers. Fitted and hey presto no more slack in the twist grip, and it did not cost me £35.
No a retired mechanical engineer! And at no time was sticky backed plastic harmed during the manufacture of the spacer.
Waiting for the British Gas engineer to turn up to service the boiler before a fun filled day of going to the tip. Hurrah!
with apologies Andy youre on fallow ground asking me that sort of technical question. Im known as 'The Brutal Gardener'- if it requires digging out, digging in, tearing down, cutting or chopping down or building/constructing , then thats my area of specialism. I do like nice lawn and do that bit of gardening with some degree of knowledge, but flowers, trees or technical stuff, keep them well away from my trimmer/axe/scarifier- I dont discriminate between a weed or a dahlia. I do know that we had a hard time buying one more fan pear, most places we tried were out of espaliers, next load in autumn. good luck!
