  1. They clearly have no idea who they're dealing with.

  2. That’s bad, same has happened to my Mini in the past, the risks of being parked on a side street I’m afraid.

Sign of the times I’m afraid Duckie not many want to own up to much these days sadly.

  6. My feelings exactly but... If 5G doesn't give me Covid, and is as fast as its supposed to be, I will cancel my broadband and use my 'phone for the tinterweb connection. Then the broadband payment can pay for the phone instead!

  7. :upyeah: Three houses were built next door to here recently which began with the demolition of a bungalow. The demolition people tied up the landline cord to our adjoining fence, as the telegraph pole is in front of us. Two years later, and none of them have connected up.

  11. Had a drive to the smelt mill at Grinton to check out the work to rectify the flood damage from 2019. They’ve done a cracking job but couldn’t save the old tunnel unfortunately.
Hopefully the mill will be safe now as there was a real danger of it collapsing.
Just a short walk off the road between Grinton and Bellerby crossroads just after the new bridge at Cogden beck and worth a look if you like this type of thing.

  12. Some of the morning was spent manhandling both the 1098R and 748R out of the dining room and onto the trailer. The rest of the morning was spent in the loft trying to find all the original parts for the 1098R that will be refitted during the belt service. Both bikes dropped off at MR and I’m back home now feeling absolutely knackered. POB :joy: Andy

  13. First thing me and SWMBO did some planting in the garden and stopped when the heavens opened. We had torrential rain and hail for about 30 mins before it became a lot lighter.

We then made a trip to the local tip to get rid of 6 large bags of garden rubbish we’d accumulated over the past week.

This afternoon it’s rained on and off so I’ve spent the past 3 hours watching the first 3 episodes of series 6 of the Sopranos. :)

  17. Why am I going to photograph 2 bikes that lack bodywork and in the case of the 748R, an exhaust ? They'll get photographed for the for sale adverts when they are finished :D Andy
