Three Cubs out tonight looking for worms they don’t seem particularly bothered by me or my head torch.
Finally got some good weather here in Somerset Fishing, kayaking and camping is the billing, no mention of Big Carl looming over you, funnily enough!
Terry, Down in the southeast today the weather has it's sun hat on, is it the same for you guys up your way.?......i'll need a ride today.
Visited some gardens and house type thing God the roads are narrow round here. Going to start on the booze now and BBQ later.
I have an appointment next month at Gloucester Hospital which is right next to the railway station. So, today was a test mission. I took the train to Gloucester and then tried walking to the Vascular Lab, where I have to go. I don't know if there is some bad blood between the station and the hospital, because neither have any direction signs to the other, although they are nearly next door. Although the NHS are supposed to be discouraging people from going everywhere in their car and encouraging making more use of public transport, or walking, Gloucester Hospital is car city - and feck any pedestrians! Next month, when I have to do it for real, I am taking a taxi all the way! I wear a Fitbit watch to count me steps. My target is about 5600 steps per day and the target for a healthy walker is 10,000 per day. I am over 20,000, today, already! AAANNNDDDD, more importantly I was looking at the seat height of the Hypermotard. I was on some Indian site and they had 32" - not too bad and no higher than my ST3, but the I went on Ducati.com for the real story: 35 inches!!!!!! Feck that!!!! If I do buy any Ducati, new or used, it will definitely, definitely be the Supersport! Maybe they make a lower one for the Indian market.... Do you not get super-tall Indians?
It’s been rather pleasant up north, although it’s started to cloud over now I’m home. Came home the long way and had a brisk and enjoyable ride back
Properly cleaned car then bike then bike kit. And went to a KTM showroom to try bikes for size. Absolutely gobsmacked that the new 1290 Adventure has been lowered and feels far less top heavy than the Mutley, lower and more comfortable seat with narrower bars and better ergonomics all round. Top marks to the crew at Hemel who did not try and push anything, suggested a test ride at my leisure and were very polite and nice. A totally different attitude to the Ducati dealerships I’ve had dealings with.
I needed some brain fodder today so a trip down to the south coast was the order of the day, also the secondhand Ducati slipper clutch that was fitted two / three ago is working it's magic.
