Proper bored so emptied my tool chest into big box and starting re orging to make for track days only kit. I take so much unnecessary stuff its about time i sorted it
Today mostly a little bit of polishing: Cheers to Mark @ MADASL Racing for lending me his workshop. I have just got to finish off the swingarm. Yorkie
Funny enough I had a go at polishing some bike bits today, albeit with a cheap diy kit. Turns out I'm crap at it:frown:
Rode down to Brighton this morning taking a circuitous route through lovely Sussex countryside in the sunshine. Spent a couple of hours looking at the thousands of bikes on the Madeira Drive - more Harley-Daves than anything else actually. Exhibitors included an undertaker showing a very elegant sidecar hearse - I thought it would suit me pretty well when the time comes. On the way back home just a sprinkle of rain which barely wet the road, so the weather was rather better than predicted.
I just used a power drill, a rough mop and a polishing one and two compounds, it took about 2 hours to do the yoke and half the swingarm. Once I've finished I will Autosol the lot. Yorkie
Found my new car !!! Went to Custom car / bike show Not many bikes due to weather. I've wanted a Trans Am since I was about 8 years old But with a T top. Failing that but Im not a biggy on red cars. Also lady let me look over her PT ... I forgot how silent they are . I like my V5 as its quite noisy ! Noisy vehicles are fab!!!
Completed the Great North run. Bekele, Gebresalasse and Farah were clearly worried, they were at the front and made me start from the back. Got totally soaked at the end, but thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
Well done! You running for any given charity, or just for the hell of it? If so, worth a linky to your justgiving page, as a few generous folk on here would surely throw a quid or two in its direction.
Had a mental fit as someone posted this dam photo up again ... I'm completely terrified of spiders ... But love dogs ... I feel ill ..
Oh. I appear to have sold the fuglystrada Quite a surprise, I must have been drunk when I put it on ebay...
Nah, on reflection the ST2 suited me better - I could touch the ground for one thing... But this is me Bradders. I've had the fuglystrada for 18 months, that's the second longest I've ever owned a bike (Kept my TL1000 for three years, kept a Katana1100 for longer too, but only cos I abandoned it at the bottom of the garden). There are so many great bikes out there, it seems stupid to me to restrict yourself to one or two. I'll replace the fugly with a cheap but fast 80's/90's jap bruiser that I can abuse but still rely on; the Guzzi's gonna keep me busy enough, I just want something I can hop on and ride.
He failed to mention he sold it for Buy it now £2.99 and a box of Twix ... Jeez Fig what where you drinking??? Meths???
Never mind bloody motorbikes, I have just had, for my tea, Curried smoked mackerel Lob out yer streaky bacon, there's a new king in town
Washed the downstairs floor. Taken a sink and a basin to bits and cleaned out all pipes (ugh!). Put them back together without leaks! Brilliant! Now about to have a full English breakfast for supper. With real English black pudding (thanks Mike). Result. But I do have a work callover at 9pm. Sob! It's a bank holiday here. Rained all day.
