  1. Car Service

Collected my car after a major service and cambelts /water pump replaced - cost £600.

Worst thing is, it's a Skoda

  2. I've had a few conference calls today. First one this morning was to Australia. Just before lunch was to Turkey. And this afternoon to the US.

I've also been to the docs for a B12 injection.

This evening I have cooked pasta and watched shit TV. I'm now watching "Vera" which I recorded yesterday evening.

  3. Gym, first time in a week, fallen so far off the wagon the Indians are approaching with tomahawks

  4. Pernicious anaemia?

So the engine is made up of an early bottom end, ie barrels and pistons and early heads, should work okay.

  6. Thanks Pete.

I can only do this if I reveal my real identity (FFS, I am not Batman, and it is for a good cause!!!!).

I raise £'s for a charity called Walk The Walk, which gives cash to help fund research and treatment of breast cancer.

We actually walk, not run. I still came 39,000th out of 56,000 on Sunday!!!!!! Completed the course in 3hrs 17mins.

When we (predominantly women plus a few blokes) take part in WTW events, we all wear decorated bras!!!

So far this year I have completed :

Half Marathons : Silverstone, London Sunwalk, Dublin Rock n Roll Half, Great North Run

Full Marathons : Moonwalks (overnight) in each of London, Edinburgh and Iceland over a five week period. Known as the Three Land Challenge 3LC).

I still have the Cardiff Half and the Fright Hike (a 30k walk overnight in Epping Forest) to complete this year. The latter is training for the London to Brighton 100k I am doing next May. I am also doing the London Moonwalk and London Marathon (ballot permitting) next May as training walks for L2B.

If you or anyone else would like to look at my just giving page, it is....

Please leave a donation if you wish. Any words of support or piss taking on here would be most welcome!

If anyone wants to look at what Walk The Walk is all about, have a look at Walk the Walk | Raising Money and Awareness | Uniting Against Breast Cancer : MoonWalk London Edinburgh Iceland SunWalk London Inca Trail

    Regards, SH.

    So now you know!

  8. Spent a day at work without painkillers. This is good. Also flogged the fucking Ducati. As it turns out this is also good. After months of worrying about a lack of work, suddenly I need to find two extra air con engineers, one pro, one trainee. If you know of anyone, let me know...

  12. Happy birthday Char!
Today has been a bit mixed, early start despite being on leave (5.30 aargh), spent some time clearing the loft of crap to take to the dump, and then the funeral of an old work mate. He was 91, a very quiet, deeply religious, but not a force it down your throat type, he'd been married for 70 years, served during WW2 as a Lancaster pilot earning the DFC over Peenemunde, although he despised war and what it did to the world. He was a great friend of my late father who, until the day before his passing had been in pretty good health for his age. Listening to his daughter talk of their life and the love the family have for each other has left me feeling a bit low. RIP Derek
