So what have you done today..?

  1. Had a visit from track and trace. Showed my I.D as requested. Referred him to my locator form. Last words were 'I've got to follow the script ' Door shut, cleaned the bike.

  2. But……..“Why”………..?

Not long finished working in a house where the guy has genuinely spent an absolute fortune making his house look second hand ?
One example, he bought a load of, get this oak not pine church pews. Then he had the brilliant idea of cutting the backs off the pews and using them as doors, but before they were hung, he decided to have them dipped. Then after dipping said potential doors fell apart and no one knew in what order to reassemble them. They now look crap, he may as well have salvaged a rotten log and hung it as a door with a piece salvaged of old rope
I really don’t get this shabby chic repurposing thing : unamused:

  3. First test run of the Packtalk Bold today with my neighbour Danny who got the Slim yesterday too. We went to Hollingworth Lake and had a brew. :)

In the main it was excellent with just a couple of times the comms dropped out, at speed. Wind noise wasn’t too bad at speed either. Also made a call and received a call. Worked well with Google maps too though I’ve got to crank up the volume. But all in all so far, so good :upyeah:

This afternoon I sorted out some stuff in the garage and chucked out a fair bit, filling the normal waste bin and also the “green” bin. Also took some big stuff to the tip.

Over the next couple of days my plan is to sort through some of my redundant biking gear and depending on the perceived value will either sell it or bin it. I’m also taking a couple of old helmets to the local fire station so they can use them in training situations. :)

  4. Went up to Settle with mate on his Tric 1199. Just as we parked up in main square a brace of McClarins 2 seaters drove past.
Naked Man Cafe a good place for a cake&coffee too.

  7. I blame Dick and Angel in their bloody chateau!
The thing was because she wanted a sliding door hanging on a barn rail, in front of the existing frame it had to be bigger than a standard door, and that’s easier said than done, you try finding an oversized door, spent ages waiting to find an old Victorian/Edwardian door that was big enough.
Then I had to number each panel as I know when I cut the door in half it would fall apart and I’d have to rebuild it/glue it back together

  9. This morning I uninstalled our old washing machine (still worked well but apparently “we’ve had it ages”) in readiness for the new one being delivered/installed at lunchtime.

This afternoon we went to Leeds to collect our grandchildren from school, then took them to McDonald’s for their tea before #1 son and d-i-l came home from work.

This evening we took them out to a restaurant and had a lovely meal. I’m stuffed now :)

  10. Blocked up doorway with breeze block. Left wife on inside. Time saved is time well spent:)
