Yup, MOT passed, advisory for front tyre getting low, that will get changed when I’ve recovered from paying for this afternoons service!
Picked up my lads Scheter guitar from having it’s annual set up, his tutor been moaning that it’s well out tune too quickly. It now plays as it should, the guitar tech has a well cool counter he serves/works over, 2 amps and speakers so you can check your guitar. Left my old guitar there for it to be set up now. Reassembled the wrapped and painted panels to my KTM too.
Raining here When I woke it looked nice enough to put my washing out but oh no it’s going to rain oh well cuppa in bed
Last weekend, we went for our Ducati riders group 4 days annual meet, which we organized in Aubrac this year. A very beautiful area. Very nice weather, good people, good food, good drinking, good times! Rode the 916 for an average of 300 miles per day. Exhausting. Also, trying to keep up with the Multistradas on some back roads is not for faint hearts... On the way back, time for a big clean up and annual maintenance, starting with the rear swing arm. I managed to extract the swing arm pivot. Took a lot of reading ahead, mental and physical prep, engineering, and then after about 3 hours of very careful labour, it’s now all cleaned, greased up and back in, ready for another 25 years of faithful service (except I’ll try and repeat this every year if I can). As a result, I can now gently tap it out of the frame in about 20 seconds. Mechanical bliss right there... I am posting this because, as a very humble DIYer, it makes me super proud to have succeeded! Especially after reading so many horror stories about it.
When you see the magic every year in the garden at this time of year, it makes it all worthwhile getting out bed in the mornings.
I lost my beautiful myeloma buddy on Tuesday my soul sister and I took the pictures for her as she was paralysed by the myeloma and couldn’t get outside so I bought the outside in to her The sky pictures she never saw I say that but who knows
