  1. Keith, to me they carry their history as you say because of the patina they have of being handled for 60 odd years, also knowing that your grandparents/ parents have also handled them and looked at them and probably had a right good laugh whilst doing so and now you are handling the very same thing that they have touched, gives you a very direct and powerful link to the past, nearest thing to a time machine we have at this present time I think,..enjoy mate :upyeah:

  6. I go the Devonian route :)

  7. I'm an actual Devonian, born in a thatched cottage, five minutes walk from the sea.

Now lets see if you've got your Devonian correct? LOL.

  11. Today, I’m anticipating a day of frustration. Picture me, a desk top PC and Google trying to understand just what we need to do to get to Barcelona in a fortnight. Already given up twice so far this week but too close now so got to sort it out. Andy

  12. I'll be interested to know what you find out as I'm flying into Barcelona next month.

  13. I’m staying in today, waiting for my new discs and pads to be delivered, left CarpiMoto yesterday and arrived in Dublin via EMA this morning, me being an aviation geek followed the package on the planes!! Here it is arriving Dublin this morning. Sad I know!

Big shout out to CarpiMoto, instant responses to messages, no language problems ie they communicate in English, very quick, very knowledgeable and better prices than Trade in UK

  14. @NoGutsNoGlory, I received this link, https://apply.joinsherpa.com/map?af...J&utm_content=PR-20950&propositionid=SERTP084, from BA and have found it very informative. Oddly, having searched "is my UK NHS Covid passport valid in Spain ?", some of the most informative stuff is on the BBC web, https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/explainers-56997931, site of all places. The only thing I have yet to find a definitive answer for is about the validity of a lateral flow test and if a self administered test is acceptable. I'll let you know as soon as I get an answer. Andy

  15. Thanks Andy I have had both jabs and will have the QR code from the NHS app with me so it doesn't look like I'll need anything else.

  16. You’ll need evidence of a pre booked PCR test within 48 hours of landing back in the UK, your Spanish on line health form QR code to get into Barcelona, fill in a UK passenger locator form in on line before you leave Spain and I have finally confirmed a self administered Lateral Flow antigen test is acceptable so long as you log the result on the UK NHS web site. Bloody faff. I have been advised to take several Lateral flow tests with me just in case you get a spurious result. Andy

  18. Arrived. 340 miles this a.m. Massive pile up on A7 opposite north carriage way, truck and three cars. Why does everyone have to rubber neck? Tailback for over 50kms. Must do a bin pic for her ladyship!
