This morning I messed around with my bikes and had a couple of calls with the DWP and Pension Forecasting Service about my NI contributions whilst SWMBO was out at some coffee morning fundraiser or other. Then this afternoon I watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
My ancient Breville bread maker decided to call it a day after producing an anaemic looking loaf. Tasted okay and then I remembered seeing a new generation (2021) Panasonic bread maker at Costco. Worked out about £12 more than a lesser spec model in Currys so just bought it. Looks like I’ll be experimenting with sourdough at the weekend Andy
This morning I’m out all day with a pal of mine and his dad. Think we’re doing the lakes and some of the passes up there
@Philm is that you I saw this morning on Belmont Road going to turn right into Walnut Tree? If so I was the mini waiting to pull out
Yesterday but did a trackday at Castle Combe, it was good, probably my least favourite circuit of I’m honest but 25 miles from my front door.
My first smartphone pictures ever downloaded on here as the other camera doesn't work anymore. Now you see it & now you don't a clients summerhouse.
So today I’ve been on an adventure with my pal Martin and his dad John around Lancashire, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. We even called in at Ravenseat farm (of Yorkshire Shepherdess fame). Didn’t see the lovely Amanda but did have a coffee served by their eldest daughter, Raven. This was today’s route, all 210 miles of it
Dug whole so Mrs could plant a green thing in it in her garden, feel it’s the slippery slope to more jobs in the garden after trimming the hedge a week ago. Monty f****ng Don I ain’t tonight’s meal had better be spot on or the green thing comes out the hole. Took my lad to have contacts, he’s not persuaded by the faff off getting the contacts out. Likes being able to see as though his eyesight is perfect even his peripheral vision though. Optician advised him to persist for a couple of weeks then a follow up consultation.
Then it was time to decorate the bedroom with 54" wide vinyl paper which came for the USA, the cost would get you a pair of used carbon wheels for your Ducati
Fitted a new front door frame and door and still putting pictures up on dodgy walls!!! Could be a long weekend!!!
This morning we are off to look at garden furniture as SWMBO, having been inspired by the RHS Bridgwater, fancies a teak curved bench for the patio. This afternoon I’ve been invited to go and watch Huddersfield Town vs Fulham by slow Dave as his missus is helping her mum move into a new flat.
