Bloody German stormtroopers walking around all high & mighty,...yes it's on my doorstep but i've never been in that section before, it looks very pricey for my short pockets. I've a birthday coming up next week and the plan's Tangmere military museum, apparently it's quite a small venue & the Solent down in southampton , plus visit the Sammy Miller while in that location.
Working in Cullompton next week taking the lad so either fleet air arm or might stretch over to Bovington tank museum. Bovington is worth a visit you could probably go see the tanks and Sammy Millers as it’s on the way back maybe?
Feeling very mellow. Steak and Tanglefoot Ale pie with a couple of beers and Creedance Clearwater Revival on the stereo. Andy
Bollocks! I must have gone right past the Sammy Miller museum on my way out of Southampton on Monday en route to Brighton. Silly me
I already did! Said he bought it new from Moto Vecchia(?) in Croydon, rode it for a few years then got too busy...
Fairey nuff. I found it fascinating to be able to stick ones head inside a semi restored fuselage and see the nitty gritty of the mechanics. Also to see the engine thingy up close and personal. Well worth it. Was also able to sit in the cockpit, and go da da da da da da da, neeeeeeowwwwww. Priceless. When i did a tiger moth flight a handful of years back at headcorn I went into the smallish museum there-that was interesting and cheap/free I recall.
Before my time, but perhaps rebranded Ducati Croydon these days, for me Croydon's not a good place to visit these days a little on the rough side.
I make those sorts of noises when i visit Ferrari showrooms, sounds very interesting and probably worth the admission fee alone based on what you're telling me.
Agreed, but you would need at least half a day there with onsite lunch etc, and a very reasonable what £12 admission fee for all those wonderful motorcycles.
A little further than i want to travel for next week and i need something different & not the same subject matter, but certainly another time when in that location.
god no, I have some moral compass. I am an international sex trafficker. Mainly women and mountain goats.
It is between Southampton and Bournemouth (actually in Bashley near New Milton) so you would have had to have headed west out of Southampton, but would have been worth a bit of a detour
Afternoon off so removed the very grubby carpet from my wife's little rental flat. Managed by letting agents whose 'regular inspections' clearly missed the mess and damage the tenant was doing. Also took two broken TVs to the tip which had been thrown out of the window (very 1970s rock star behaviour!). At least the tenant has gone and once it has been repainted and new carpet laid, fingers crossed, a friend's daughter wants it. ps I do like a trip to the tip
You've to be careful when visting the local tip as you can end up bringing things ( Rubbish ) back home.
