  4. Just been to the physiotherapist for assessment. Need to recover muscle mass in the quads, hamstring and glutes to support the ACL in my left knee. Hobbling a bit after being pushed and pulled about so treating myself to coffee, bacon and brie panini and a brownie before heading home. Andy

Came down to see lots of water in the kitchen, not flooded but easily enough to trip over on. I was convinced it was the washing machine finally crying enough but the experienced plumbers among you will be all too familiar with this, and probably way ahead of me. Pulled out the machine and began to strip out the bottom but as I rearranged the water feed pipes I could hear hissing more like gas leaking and (luckily) the sound got louder because I flexed the pipe a little more and then of course the source was obvious.

  11. 20210907_075420[1].jpg Working for a living yesterday and today removing a clients hedge and other stuff ready for a excavator for clearing thirty odd years of muck that's built up in the stream over the years, the water authorities should face their responsibility for this area but just don't bother these days in the Uk.

  14. Thats because the Tories sold them off and they've ended up in the hands of hedge funds.

  15. Finished work early……got stuck in a lot of traffic getting cooked:mad: M6 North bound was shut at J17 I was headed South but tried to drive round the problem as the rubberneckers had bought Southbound to a stand still. Saw some poor fckr on a Pantigirlie stuck in traffic too as the lane I used was chock full both ways with cars vans trucks.

  16. My 916 battery exploded. Properly went bang. Boom. I put plug caps back on after turning it over to get the oil going, then fired her again and bang. Interestingly there was a blue flash from it too. Covered me in battery acid. I had my reading glasses on, phew. Legged it into shower. Never experienced anything like that before. Wondering now where ignition came from.

Need a new battery and some new kecks.

  18. Have you rinsed the bike down, ideally with some soap added to the water? Of course you & your eyes are most important but you've taken care of them so...
