  1. Finally :scream: !!!

Got our travel restriction exemption back from the Australian government so we can get out to see our Daughter :D :upyeah: you have to have the exemption before you can apply for a holiday visa.
The exemption came into my inbox at about 05:30 this morning, straight onto t’internet and filled out the application forms for the Visas.
Back with me before 09:00 …get in! Looking for flights now and hope to get to Brisbane by the end of the month and it’ll be bye-bye British winter :splat:
We plan to submit our retirement visa application while we’re out there this time as well, two years since we’ve seen our daughter and we haven’t seen Grandson number two, William, at all yet, although the “ brainwashing “ has been continuing in my absence :D

  2. Warm and dry-ish roads. Moved bin, wheeled out the 999, short run, checked that 1 on the digital speedo was working. Put the bike back, roasted a chicken for lunch.

  4. Yup, Queensland only opened its borders on Monday, so to have my Visas by Thursday is not too bad I think, the last two years have felt like an absolute age :worried:

  5. Just finished oil and filter change on my new project. Replaced all bleed nipples, brake pads, fluid, rear hub oil, gearbox oil. K&N air filter in. Valve clearances. Brought the bin in! Bored now!

  6. Ridden a boring BMW. Using the work R1250RT for escort duties. Feels like a tank next to my SuperSport 950. But it handled the wet and cold weather with barely a shrug.

  7. Agreed. #1 son and family are only up in Scotland and I’ve only seen them once I think, and SWMBO twice now (she’s been up there these last 4 days) :)

  11. Had a call to go and have my bloods done at 2pm instead of 7pm today
Turned up at 2 reception had no idea I was going. Had to move out of the car park as it's reserved for Chemo patients only and it was only half full and they wouldn't give me a permit
2.30 the chemo suite asked what me and another lady were waiting for
Blood clinic finished at 2 and chemo suite were too busy to do bloods.
We were asked if we could go and come back for 5
I said I would come back at 7 the other lady said she would wait.
Her lift was waiting outside in disabled car park (genuine disabled driver)
So I will be going back out for 7

By the way loving all the bin stories

  13. I’m yet to be convinced by anything 3 wheeled. I should really try the Yamaha thingy.

  15. I have also never tried a 3 wheeler, the way those police 3 wheelers are ridden is criminal.

  17. The perils of modern technology. My brand new boiler stopped working this morning, totally out of the blue. Long saga short version, the manufacturer’s UK server crashed this morning (nothing to do with the server maintenance and an update they carried out yesterday of course) and their entire UK customer base with their new generation boiler are without heating. Wifi based climate sensors that talk to the boiler through their server would appear to have been deleted from the system. Words fail me. I’m off down the pub for lunch. Andy
