So what have you done today..?

  1. In the North East and Yorkshire NHS region, admissions have more than doubled in a week, up 117 per cent.

Taken from the Telegraph this morning
    The game is afoot!

  2. So that would make it 76 people from a total population of 5.61m people.

I’m sure you can work out the percentage :)

(And yes I know my brothers stats are based just on 11 sites)

ps even if you lumped the total uk hospitalisations which currently stands at 11918 according to the government’s own website it would still only make it 0.0021%

  3. It occurred to me to bring up “that” famous quote about there being 3 types of lie but Wikipedia just cracked me up with this, ““Lies, damned lies, and statistics" is a phrase describing the persuasive power of numbers, particularly the use of statistics to bolster weak arguments.” :joy::joy::joy: Andy

  4. Things just need to be put in perspective.

  11. I remember hearing a siren followed by an almighty jet engine start up
I half expected a low flying fighter jet to come roaring overhead.
    Unnerving.

  19. Decisions, decisions  shall I sit here in “my” chair, looking out of the bay window at the pouring rain, hoping my lungs are going to stay in my chest as I’m wracked with another coughing spasm or shall I just crawl up the stairs and go back to bed to wait for the next coughing spasm ? Fed up now, got absolutely no attention span for anything to divert me from my miserable existence. Has it really only been 5 days ? In better news, I have found a box of Marmite biscuits I’d forgotten about and they have enough flavour to cut through the mucus coating on my taste buds. When can I have another brace of paracetamol ? 3 hours ? F**k :( Well, now I’ve cheered you all up, I’m going to finish my box of Marmite biscuits :D Andy
