  3. Household stuff this morning whilst the bread machine does its thing. Once I’ve finished my chores, I’m going to have another go at making a sourdough starter. Not sure what I did wrong the last time but I’m going to try a different flour that is supposed to have more natural yeasts. Hopefully this time next week, I’ll be baking sourdough from scratch. Andy

  4. Had a lovely piece of fresh cream and lemon cake here.

  5. I was wide awake at 3.30am so I got up and watched the last two episodes of homeland on my iPad in the garden room so as to not to wake up/annoy SWMBO.

Went back to bed at 7am and woke up 30 mins ago.

I may go over and watch slow Dave wash his new GS that he collected from Northampton yesterday.

    :)

  7. Bloody hell the GS is a big old lump………that said it’s 100kg lighter than his last bike, the K1600GTE!

Sun’s shining so SWMBO is out in the garden tidying up……..but I’ve had to measure the path between the patio areas as SWMBO wants to replace the slate with stone blocks. I’m fed up with being an adult :(

  8. Class! Slate is so passé! Very Coronation Street.
True stone one would hope, non of that reconstituted tat!
Hence, how many stones does a stone setter set when a stone setter sets his sets? Noisy for the wheels bin. Nice Yorkshire stone flags would look a treat. Little midnight raid on a small village should provide sufficient materials.
SWMBO knows a thing or two about tread wares!
Ever so expensive but stately! Off to beat the staff now the bottom 10acres are looking a little unkempt.

  11. I like Coronation Street :)

The 2 patio areas are both yorkshire stone, so SWMBO wants the path that joins them and the side passage of the house to be slightly different to add “interest”

As I said before I pm fed up of adulting :(

  12. Slight change of plan, instead of bread making, I'm working with the chainsaw to clear a cob nut tree and a lilac so workmen can repair a fence damaged in the storm. My reward ? Beer and Haggis ..... result :D Andy

  13. We had Indian stone paving at our last gaff
Looks fabulous but got slippy in the winter months
You don’t want slippy, especially in one’s maturing years!

  16. Plenty done in the garage this weekend, will hopefully have all the walls boarded this week and then onto the ceiling next weekend if I can be bothered.
The car is a very tight fit!

  17. For the first time in years lost my shit playing golf. Frustration turned to anger. Flying clubs and profanities and being a bit stroppy with a playing mate who suggested it was a friendly game when I didn’t give a 3ft putt immediately by pointing out him choosing index rather than course handicap which costs my team two shots and his none inst friendly either!

I wasn’t fun to play with today on the back 9….
