Break the bin in gently. Try not to damage this one. Bins have feelings to you know! Previous for bin abuse has been noted
I would so love to have stayed with Ducati, I have never loved a bike more than my MTS twin spark, but due to various operations and a lack of height genes it’s just too too heavy in certain conditions, ie turning right on a camber, paddling backwards etc. So after some test rides there was one bike that stood out. It’s not perfect, I reckon it was wanting to weave over 130 but etc. the engine was fab, so much more than I expected and with character too. Comfortable and light feeling. After 2 3 hour test rides I was left with the feeling I wanted to go out on the bike for any reason, ie need a pint of milk all of a sudden in a 100 mile route. And that to me is exactly the emotion it should give you, MTS gave me that too. it’s the new Yamaha Tracer 9GT
Off to Provence in the morning, pack today. House has been empty six months. Probably spend a month then a couple of weeks in Luxembourg on the way back. No fixed plans, see how the new to me GSA performs! Heavy lump but comfy in my advancing years! Bin minder organised in my absence of course
Been relatively busy this morning. Did some ironing. Took pics of my V2 rear seat unit/pad/pegs and placed ads on here and th'eBay. Helped SWMBO with some baking that she's doing for my youngest grandson's birthday party tomorrow. And this afternoon I'll be watching some more of the Last Kingdom
Had a steroid injection in my medial collateral ligament this morning. Now the anaesthetic mixed with the steroid has worn off, my knee is sore. Hopefully after a good night’s sleep (aided by a couple of Naproxin) it’ll feel a lot better in the morning. If it doesn't, the clinician said she’ll inject more steroid into the joint under the kneecap. Fingers crossed for the morning Andy
Had two new front tyres fitted to The Car That Shall Not Be Named (or the sports car guys will get all sarcastic). Amazing the difference in steering feel, never thought I would feel the difference. 650hp 4 wheel drive
Finished a hard day at work. Then took my daughter to look at buying her first car. TBH I think she would have bought anything!, it's actually a nice little car. Certainly better than my first one, a £50 Austin allegro. Now watching a couple of hours of MotoGP while the Mrs is out at dog training.
Did 160 mainly rural miles today, went to Chris at Roadlok UK for expert fitting, very highly recommended!! It really is a cracking bike, and I am delighted to report it even has Ducati traits… like an uncomfortable seat and a shit screen, apart from that I’m still grinning.
An undisturbed night's sleep and an almost discomfort free morning so far. I reckon the discomfort is a result of the injection and not the ligament but really, really relieved. Andy
I am recovering slowly from covid I tested positive two weeks ago Chemo has been on hold Hopefully can re start next week I'm still positive and could be for up too 12 weeks/90 days as im immunocompromised
I’m still lazing in bed as the weather is crap and I had a less than good nights sleep. I’ll have to get up in a bit though as I have a 7yo’s birthday party to go to
You're lying out in the garden on your lounger then, just wrapped in a blanket? I hope you shake off the CV19 rapidamente.
