Went to Newlands Corner and Box Hill today. Took Petite Rita on the back, she’s staying with us at the moment. At a mere 80 years young she likes nothing better than a ride on the pillion and a good pillion she is too. At Newlands a guy took off very slowly on a ridiculously noisy Harley, hellishly loud and no go at all. Then another guy turned up on an electric Harley, silent except for the sound of a Milk Float. In fact, that’s exactly what it sounded like. He said it was a really good, went like a jet fighter. It was a test ride while he had his GS serviced. Neither bike appealed to me whatsoever. Something like £28k’s worth of machinery and a range of just over 100 miles. Therein lies the problem. All you can really do is pop to the shops on it. For £28k! When he went to the loo I was very tempted to stick a bit of cardboard in his front spokes. Great view from the top of Box Hill. How many times have I been to the bike park at Box Hill and not gone up the hill to take this in?
I've to say that i'm guilty as well as i was a huge fan in the nineties but never ventured up to that point........i must fix that problem......
Swam 2k, went to the gym, did a load of weights, went out on the bike, now home getting bang on it, about to fire up the bbq for some homemade pizzas. Life doesn’t get better.
Feck the bikes today as i needed to start cleaning and red oxide the flail before reassembling with new bearings, maybe tomorrow for a blast on the 998 as the weathers look the same as today.
Waiting at Gatwick for my Tui 6,05 take off been Told there is another plane coming as this one is knackered so 7,05 just been told 8,05 as it’s the airports fault, Fingers crossed they just cancel it and give me my money back as I’m sure it will about 2pm flight
We had a TUI flight delayed 12 hours going out, and delayed 24 hours coming back last week. TUI said they had the planes but didn’t have the right crews to fly them.
We could see the plane as was stand at the departure gate looking at it, won’t be 8,05 as should be boarding now, Crap service so far been up since 1,45 am

Rode around The Marches and Wales, a few roads in Shropshire have been tarred and chipped the bar stewards. But then good sections of freshly laid tarmac in Wales. Saw 2 916’s at McDonalds, clearly all mink coat and no knickers……
Went over to Koto Autokalli over near Chipping Norton, really nice coffee and good hour or so blast each way for me through Burford, lechlade etc

Since getting back from holiday last Friday I have been suffering with a proper “summer cold”………..my cough is so bad that it sounds I’m barking like a dog, I’ve got conjunctivitis and I’ve gone deaf in my right ear from an ear infection. On the plus side I’ve managed to reduce my BT broadband costs and BT Sports costs for the next 2 years
