  9. Popped, very sweatily, down to Louigi Moto to ask about bloody gear-sensor fault, removal, 'calibration', etc... What a lovely gesture to offer me his special, fettled socket so I could replace the sensor. I declined, as I'll make my own, now that I know the size, etc. Stacked out with bikes, repairs, etc - a justifiably busy place that'll never be short of work.
Imagine that sort of reception at my local main dealer:joy:
Order in with Duc Coventry for about £110, 16mm deep socket (edit from original post of 17mm A/F, in case anyone needs to know) from Halfords (pro version for a paultry £2.50, which was a nice bonus). Socket fettling to follow...

  10. Thursday four of us rode the Three highest pubs in Britain challenge from ABR.

We met at the Wanlockhead Inn on Wednesday afternoon, set off at 0800 Thursday morning to Tan Hill avoiding motorways then to the Sportsman’s Arms nr Denbigh arriving just before 1900, but due to time and traffic used the M6/56. Just shy of 300 miles in 11 hours gives an indication of how rural much of our route was.

It was just a bit of fun, one of the guys set up a just giving page for Prostate cancer.

My V4S Multistrada was excellent, it now needs a serious wash.

  11. Slept!

Returned from a trip and my bed was my best mate.

Around 35 years had passed since I last slept in a field, but I gave it ago - never again :D

Dropped the bike (always do) so it is now christened, with a broken handguard and a couple of scuffs to the carbon exhaust heat shield. Others have mentioned it - pants caught on a frame plug and down it went at standstill.

Three cracking days on Welsh back roads though, but never again.

    Midges!!

  16. Drove upto Derby last night after work with the Mrs and our two dogs. We are staying in a farm cottage for the weekend. We have stayed here before for a week last year. The wife has become good friends with the owner as she has Corgis too. They are putting on a country fair/garden party/dog party thingy in one of their fields today. Breakfast outside first thing but the weather doesn't look great for later on.

  19. Early morning supermarket dash to beat the crowds and get out quick. Everything went well until I found only one checkout available for everyone who had the same idea!
