Aye , sat down, feet on desk drinking tea whilst singing along to the radio, phone muted -tv on silent in the back ground-must be tough. Feel for you.....
Another very pleasant rideout today, good dry roads and hardly any traffic. Had a great solitary 45 mile round trip around South Oxfordshire, noticed its really now starting to get cold, I was just about OK but if it gets any colder I'll need a decent base layer and some better gloves, but I do love this time of year when you get these dry early winter sunny days.
Took my bike apart & did the 12K service, valves needed to be adjusted a tad but everything is perfect, getting the pipes re-polished, adding some Samco hoses, sending my Headlight to California to get the LED's replaced due to them burning out, getting new wave rotors by Galfer or Braking & adding some lightweight red anodized cam rollers...I think that's about it for this winters project! Here is the bike from today!
Got back from good few days, and nights ;-) in Cartagena. tired, bruised and a few quid lighter unplanned but good trip all the same. Back to work today, catch up time.
Didnt get many as I missed quite a lot of sessions with putting my bike back together then fixing a misfire...started same pace as last year, my day one PM was 10secs a lap quicker, out day 2 and on it straight away and a few secs off day one, catching a guy who was far quicker day one lost front into slowish hairpin oops rapair and out session 4, found misfire and fix for session 3 day 3 then did 3 sessions running a couple of seconds slower than day one...lost front again last session as I was using kerns for apex and this time better front tyre = grip = phew!! Knackered now...fitness needed over the winter
taken too many pain killers pain has gone but I'm not too sure what I'm doing I have an overwhelming desire to say a few words to my boss Looking forward to ordering a dominoes later and having some alcohol - I'm sure that will even things out
nice run up to Grassington and Pateley Bridge, about 70 mile round trip, it's getting a bit chilly to be going too far
I've been updating the company organisation chart for prospective clients. I've snuck in the chart a position which I've termed "Dehydration Prevention Officer". I wonder who'll be the first to recognise it and translate it to our "brew bitch"
I've just had a traditional Swiss autumn meal for the first time: cheese (gruyère, tomme vaudoise, tomme de savoie, vacherin Mont d'Or, roquefort, camembert), roasted chestnuts (you need an open fire for this), pears, grapes, bread. From the south of Switzerland, apparently - the Valais and the Italian-speaking canton Ticino. Washed down with red. It's Grrrrrrrrrrreat! Strange to have your main course, cheese and dessert all served at once, but I like it!
back to work, sortin shit, just eaten large pack of Maynard's wine gums and on the San Miguel. Pre winter exercise bulking...
