  2. Out for the weekend wit 26 friends, Eiffel Germany. Roads and curves are brilliant.
3 Ducati’s the rest ranging from a 40 year old GSX 1100 to 2 brand new Harleys, youngest rider 23, oldest rider 75.
Whole group stopped by the German police on the way home.
    Out came the dB meters…

The biggest and loudest rat bike of them all with open pipes, a Guzzi from the 80’s with a Ural sidecar could not be checked by them, just because they did not have noise emission data available for this bike .

    Hurray!

The rest passed because we all mounted dB killers, except for an unmodified Kawasaki Versys.. 0.6 dB to much…
What a bunch of A..H…s on checking the unmodified Kawa and looking inside de dB killers from the other bikes with a flashlight looking for some extra holes.
    Sometimes you wonder….
Anyway great fun and we got away Scott-free.

Going to Germany? Make sure to bring your dB killers, if you can fix the problem on the spot everything OK, otherwise the bike is impounded until fixed. Just saying...

  3. Glad I don’t ride in Europe anymore from the stories I keep hearing lately.
I rode through the village next to me today on my way home. I was doing 27 mph and an old couple walking down the street stopped and put their fingers in their ears while looking at me the whole time. My exhaust is completely factory standard!

  4. Drove from Canterbury to Folkestone, saw, well caught a glimpse of, my first DesertX on our way out of Canterbury. Folkestone is nice enough but mobbed. Then back to Canterbury for a punt trip, the most relaxing hour I’ve spent in years. Really enjoyed it. Then into the Unicorn pub for a couple of pints of Oakham’s Citra - a hoppy and zesty little number that really cuts through. My favourite type of beer. All in all, a very nice day.

  5. Some people perceive the world through the filter of their prejudices and only see or hear things that supports their sense of outrage. They’ll very probably spend the resting their lives as miserable malcontents because they focus on entirely the wrong things.
Hey, that Citra must be stronger than I thought. :D

  6. Gym first thing, then put my Dad’s ashes in my rucksack and took him for a day trip to his old houses, and places he used to enjoy going to. Just over 300 miles, it’s been a brilliant day. I’m not sure if he’d have enjoyed the race with the R1 between Lechlade and Farringdon, but I did!

  11. A couple of days semi-wild camping in a friends woodland, near Morpeth, that they are clearing/re-wilding. Lovely weather for it!
    IMG_4395.jpg

Drove from Leeds to Morpeth via a very circuitous route, cross Pennine route. Stopping at the Wensleydale Cheese factory for Lunch. Fantastic cheese on toast, very average scone, not even with clotted cream!

Also dropped in to Seaham for an ice-cream.

Now back at home in the horrible south. Note to self, move back north, soon

  12. Drove from Canterbury to the Shard Riverside Inn on the River Wyre, near Poulton-le-Fylde (so near Blackpool). A long, busy, slow, frustrating drive. I’m knackered, crap sleep last night, so I’m going to have a swift pint then crash.

  13. After 2 1/2hrs sleep last night, mainly I’ve been knackered

  14. Uncovered the car and pulled it out of the garage for a polish and check over then put it back in and recovered. Now off for a ride through the Cotswolds on the Gsxr.

  15. Bought some new irons. :bomb:

  16. Ooer, tell us more...

  17. Have some ping G irons, about 6 yrs old maybe, and am 10 less handicap since so decided I wanted a nice looking club rather than a full out game improver. Tried loads at Glos golf centre. Fancied the mizuno 225 but not the price…. Ended up with Cobra Forge Tec as they had the nicest all round feel and look beautiful (for a piece of metal)

  18. I've a set of the Ping i500's and my game has gone off recently, so like all of us, blame the gear!

To be fair, the 500's are a game improvement iron which don't look like a game improvement iron, so just need to get out of my rut. However my game has been, I tend to go off with woods, not irons, so can't seem to bottom it out currently. Recently changed driver to the new Callaway Big Bertha and it's superb, but made the mistake of buying the 3 and 5, which I'm crap with, so gone back to my others (a Ping 3 and a Mizuno 7 - don't laugh).

I'm playing twice a week this month and determined to get back on track with my irons.

    Love the Forge Tec (visually)!
